This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a young survivor battling through a mutant apocalypse. As players traverse the open-world of Sunset City, they use assault rifles and fantastical weapons (e.g., grenade launchers that shoot teddy-bear bombs, guns that shoot fireworks) to kill mutant creatures, robots, and occasional human enemies. Combat is highlighted by frequent explosions, screams of pain, and gunfire. Some explosives cause enemies to be dismembered, leaving limbs around the environment; one cutscene briefly depicts a character's head cut off by a mutant. During the course of the game, characters and environmental elements reference sexual behavior or humor (e.g., "Oh, such a bold statement! It says, 'I am a prostitute!'" and "How hard was it to make a porn flip book?" ); a radio ad contains a running joke about a sex burger (e.g., "It's so good you won't be able to contain your urges to rub it all over your Sex…Burger"). The dialogue contains a handful of drug references (e.g., "You guys have been eating weed" and "Oh, when I get back with your drugs, we'll discuss my offense at your assumption that I would know where to find drugs"). The words "f**k" and "sh*t" also appear in dialogue.

Yes! I waited so long for this game, I had a feeling that it would come to pc. Insomniac are awesome.

I really didn't enjoy this when I played it after it was free with GWG on the Xbox One. Good news though for those who have not had a chance to try it yet.

I might try it out again at a later date on the PC though to see if 60fps helps.

Really hope it's not just going to be chucked on the MS Store. The app UI, crashes, and download fuck ups are abysmal.

Game would be something else in 4K60. I never played the DLC which I heard is pretty good.

Would Insomniac holding the rights to Sunset Overdrive give this a better chance of coming to Steam? I just don't understand the circumstances for certain games like Quantum Break, Ori, Cuphead, ReCore, and Ryse to be on both Steam and the Windows Store.

Oh man, that would be great if it also means Xbox One X enhancements. Between this and bringing back Alan Wake to digital storefronts, MS are finally giving people what they want. Banjo next?

This game will shine on the PC.
I do wonder if it's a Steam release or a Windows Store one and I also hope XBX will benefit from some of the improvements on the PC version like higher res.

Hell yea! This and Halo MCC are the only games that I really wanted to play from the Xbox One library, so this is great news!
