A bit of both. Mostly because it is slowing down, but in the following weeks, stock issues should start to appear considering its next reprints are scheduled for mid-February.
But this is still a good week, even for Demon Slayer standards. It had some worse ones last year, especially before the movie hit:

This might not be as one-sided as I expected. Stock issues obviously don't help, but Jujutsu might fail to pass Nana before the end of the month.

So at 14 volumes released so far JJK has 30 million copies in circulation or as much as MHA has at 29 volumes. JJK might even beat One Piece at 37 million for 15 volumes when #15 drops in March. Basically the series has become crazy popular. Volume 1 even made it on the NYT graphic novel sales list.

One Piece's 98th volume seems to have done better than the 97th, which itself did better than the 96th.

Impressive results for the Demon Slayer fanbooks (the number combines the 2019 fanbook with the new one that released this week). Shoseki had the new fanbook above the One Piece volume, but looking at these numbers, I don't think it happened after all.

Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are starting to have some stock issues. Slow week also for The Promised Neverland, Haikyu!!, Chainsaw Man and Attack on Titan to a lesser extent.

This is by far World Trigger's best result ever, and the first time it sells over 300k units in a single week.

Same thing for Kemono Jihen which just did its best week ever. Its new volume is going to break any previous records for this series.

I like the fact that Chainsaw man manga is doing great even without an anime. Can't wait to see how the anime will affect its sales once it's out.

Hard to find any proper comparison. This is by far the best first week ever for a fanbook, beating the 100,969 units of the second Kuroko's basket fanbook that released in December 2014. The first Demon Slayer fanbook took 46 weeks to reach 1m units sold.

This is just another example of how crazy Demon Slayer is right now since only 4 manga have ever managed to sell 1m units in their first week : Demon Slayer, One Piece, Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist's final volume (thanks to a 7-days first week).

Seems like right now, AoT and SxF are neck and neck. SxF should win in the end because of its very stable growth, but AoT did manage to give it a decent fight thanks to its final season boost.
I'm probably going to do this comparison again with volume 7 and volume 34 since both should release around the same time (May, most likely). volume 7 will once again break the series record, and volume 34 should see a great improvement over volume 33 due to it being the last volume.

We happen to know exactly how much volume 95 did in 21 weeks thanks to the 2020 first half ranking.
I'm not sure if we can really say anything based on this. Volume 95 had the release of volume 96 in April that helped its sales (since older OP volumes always climb in the ranking in the month following the release of the next volume). Volume 97 did not have such a thing.
On the other hand, when volume 95 came back in the ranking in April, it managed to sell over 20k units in a week. Almost double what volume 97 did last week. So backlog sales are decreasing a little.

Do we have info about Dr. Stone and My Hero Academia manga sales in Japan? I have a feeling that Dr. Stone isn't popular there as some of the people in the west think it is. I also feel that My Hero Academia is losing some of its popularity there or let's say isn't doing numbers as big as it used to but i need numbers to make sure of this.

Dr. Stone has 8.4m units in circulation for 19 volumes, so an average of 442k per volume. It was the 13th best-selling manga of 2020.

MHA has 30 million units in circulation for 29 volumes, so an average of 1,034m per volume. In 2020, it sold a bit over 6m units. That was its second best year ever, only behind 2018. Its new volumes have more or less been stable in terms of sales for the past 3 years or so. It's the 6th(7th) best-selling ongoing manga in terms of sales per volume (only behind One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Attack on Titan and Kingdom (and Hunter x Hunter...)).
Though Chainsaw Man might pass it sometimes this year (but it'll stay 6th since AoT will end) if it's second part releases and does numbers as high as its first part is currently doing.

Cells at Work! hasn't had a new volume in over 3 years, before its anime aired. So it makes sense for it to beat its previous best first-week. It's a bit disappointing compared to how much the previous volumes sold during the anime, but the readership was bound to decrease after a 3 years long hiatus.

Demon Slayer had reprints that arrived around the end of the week, but did not sell that much. Next week will be the real test, but we might really be looking at the beginning of the end of the Demon Slayer craze.

Just like Demon Slayer Gaiden, the Fanbooks are serious contenders for the top 10 best-selling manga of the 2021 first half.

Kaguya 21 seemingly had an extremely poor start. It likely sold 110k or below, which is around what volume 18 did last spring (during a period where new manga volumes sold poorly, probably because of covid), or volume 14 around the end of the first season of the anime.

One Piece 98 had a slightly better 3rd week, selling around 90k units, but it's not enough to catch up to 97.

Attack on Titan has now sold over 3m units in 2021. Considering it has one volume left, it's guaranteed to sell more in 2021 than in 2020 (4,306,012 units)

Jujutsu seemingly never recovered from the heavy stock issues it suffered from in late-december/early-january. Shueisha is probably printing as many units as it can.

I forgot where I read it, maybe even this topic but wouldn't 36 million copies in circulation at the release of volume 15 put JJK up there with One Piece in terms of copies on sale in a similar time frame? Really impressive numbers though whatever the case.

Stocks are back for Demon Slayer allowing it to sell over a million units and to take the first place from Jujutsu Kaisen. This won't last as next week, Jujutsu will have its new volume.

A new Yotsuba&! volume has released after almost 3 years, and it seems like a good result! Volume 14 did 196k back in April 2018. Considering its backlog sales are probably close to 0, volume 15 probably sold around the same.

Wotakoi volume 10 likely did better than volume 9, but it's certain that it did worse the previous ones.

Similarly, Space Brothers 39 has a chance of selling better than volume 38, but it's guaranteed to be bellow every other volume since the airing of its anime in 2012.

Attack on Titan, World Trigger, Tokyo Revengers and Chainsaw Man keep selling well.

Kaguya's 21st volume seems to have had a good second week that should allow it to catch up a little to volume 19/20. Its 2-weeks total should be above volume 18's.

Demon Slayer Gaiden will pass the second fanbook next week, still an incredible result, and a record for a fanbook.
Next week, a Jujutsu Kaisen fanbook will release. It should not be able to do numbers like these, but the comparison could still be interesting.

Incredible second week for One Piece. That's only a 31.2% drop week-on-week. It's the second softest week 4 drop for a One Piece volume ever. Only Volume 91 had a softest one with only -29.4%.

That makes volume 98 the second volume in a row to show volume-on-volume growth after 4 weeks (96 was below 1.6m after four weeks).
If volume 99 does better than 98, it will be the first time since the Strong World boost than One Piece increased its sales for 3 volumes in a row. If 100 also beats 99, it will be a first, period.

While this second week is not as good as the first, this is the first time this version of The Apothecary Diaries sells over 100k units within the weekly top 50. Just like the other manga, this one has grown steadily for the past two years.

Considering Oricon combines the two in its yearly ranking, an anime adaptation would make the yearly top 10 achievable despite the fairly low amount of volumes.

Oshi no Ko barely missed the 100k mark. But still, it has clearly become one of the best-selling Young Jump manga. Golden Kamuy and Kaguya are far, but it might catch up to Real by the end of the year.

Komi's situation is still one of the most disappointing one to me. As early as volume 4, it managed to sell over 100k units within the weekly top 50. It peaked in 2018 with volume 8/9 selling around 150k in a month.
Had it had an anime, it might have had the chance to grow and become one of the best-selling rom-com of the gen. But it never did get an anime and has now lost half of its readership in a couple of years.

We'll know soon enough, but Jujutsu Kaisen 15 might have sold over 1 million units in its first week. That would make it the 5th manga in Oricon's history to achieve that (After One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer)

Jujutsu Kaisen is closing in on Demon Slayer, if the latter wants to stay on top for a third year, it'll need its season 2 to do some work.

Similarly, Chainsaw Man is under 200k behind Attack on Titan. Who'll come out on top at the end of the semester? It'll depend on both of their backlogs as this final volume of Chainsaw Man should push the series sales at the same level as AoT's and AoT doesn't have a new volume until June.

Huge first week for Kaiju. Its second volume's first week is on par with Spy x Family's 4th volume!

On the other hand, that's really not good for Yotsuba&! whose new volume is now around 80k behind its previous one, depsite having had a similar first week.

Wotakoi also had a disappointing second week, as it is now below volume 9. But that one had a low third week, so we'll have to wait next week to be sure that volume 10 is performing worse.

One Piece sold 2,179,989 units in 2020 in France. It was the best-selling manga for the 10th year in a row.

This is a +57.2% growth from around 1,387,000 units in 2019.
Its market share in 2020 was 9.7%, the highest since 2016.
