From newsweek (and the interview you can watch on several websites):

Biden Dismisses Diversity in African American Community

It's not the first time Biden has found himself facing criticism for the words he used about Black voters, but he still holds a strong lead over Trump with the voting demographic.

This URL has a "Trump claim", but you can see the interview part there:

Trump claims Biden 'insulted the Black community' with remarks on Hispanic diversity

President Trump Joe Biden had “totally disparaged and insulted the Black community" by comparing African-American attitudes with those of Hispanics.

"What you all know but most people don't know, unlike the African American community with notable exceptions the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things," Biden said.

He noted that the Latino community in Florida will have a "very different attitude" toward immigration than there may be in Arizona.

Newsweek reached out to the Biden campaign for comment, but did not receive a response in time for publication.

This is why we don't send you out to do things.

I'm guessing he meant regarding political ideologies considering how conservative some Latino communities are.

Yes he was talking about political ideologies. Here's the full context:

"Yes," Biden said when NPR's Lulu Garcia-Navarro asked if he'd "reengage with Cuba" on the topic. "And by the way," he continued, "what you all know, but most people don't know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things. You go to Florida, and you find a very different attitude about immigration in certain places than you do when you're in Arizona."

This is inappropriate and despicable. Black America is not a monolith and Biden should be ashamed of claiming that we are.

Going to say the obvious- Biden has issues with racism.

This is the second time that Biden says something along these lines about the black community now. When are his people going to tell him to just shut the fuck up?

This doesn't even feel true politically.

I know so many older, conservative black folk.

Yeah, if black voters didn't turn on him for the Breakfast Club interview, they're not gonna turn on him now.

Why would would turn on him for saying dumb shit when he's known for gaffes? Most of the time we get what he's saying, he's just saying it wrong or really shouldn't say it out loud at all.

What he's trying to say here is that black people aren't as politically diverse as Latinos, there are a few notable exceptions such as your Candace Owens, but we tend to lean heavily left. You ask black people about police reform or systemic racism, you're going to get pretty similar answers. On other hand, Hispanic voters are more politically diverse, thus you can get wildly differing views on something like immigration from the Hispanic community depending on where they live.

He's not wrong, but why are you even saying this?

He's not wrong with respect to political ideology, at least along strict party lines, which I'm assuming is what he was alluding to. Having said that, there's much better ways of framing that sentiment, and in ways where it doesn't come off as Black people being a single minded monolith whose vote is guaranteed. To be honest, it doesn't need to be said at all, because it accomplishes nothing.
