Finally McHale returns to comic book movies since his his role as a banker on Raim's Spider-Man 2.
Pretty much exactly what I thought. Maybe Jack Knight's personality with the name of the original?

I assume he'll play the character as borderline satire. Comedically out of place golden age hero and all that.
But now it might actually be good...
And yo, how do you pick Joel McHale and not cast him as Jack Knight?

There is no problem with this casting or character. It's just using a character that has a connection to Stargirl through her father.

Cool, I've been a fan of his since Community & The Soup. Since these shows are better written than the typical DC TV show, I hope it gives him a chance to flex his acting chops. And hopefully it doesn't get cancelled, like all of his other shows lol
This. I was excited until I saw that it was Golden Age Starman. Still nice to see the character being used but I would liked for it to be one of the other two. It does make sense this is the one they'd use though. I wonder what his costume would look like cause his actual suit is TO golden age. I needs to be altered and updated.Wrong Starman
Titans is the best thing to come out of DC in a long time so I'm pretty hyped for anything that gets put on DC Universe.

I can't see him pulling off a straight laced boyscout as those golden age types seem to be.
And what is the budget on the show, cause I can't see us getting S.T.R.I.P.E.S

This concept would have been dope. I can see a film noir type superhero film similar to Dark City.
Missed opportunity there imo.

Wait why are they using a picture of Sylvester Pemberton's Star-Spangled Kid outfit in the picture? I thought that didn't seem right. Unless they just straight up combining him with the original Starman. Which is weird and expected since they do that a lot with these shows.
Haha this is exactly how it played out in my house. I was like "I don't know about this casting" and my wife replied "he was great as Thoraxis".

They're building a 15-Foot S.T.R.I.P.E. for this show so budget must not be a concern.
