The Dino being traped on the island with the lava and smoke coming closer. It broke my heart and I got tears. Damn, it's still hurt my stomach a week later.
That scene was beyond cheesy. It's also another unnecessary callback to Jurassic Park.

Watch this video. She's been actively avoiding spoilers for this movie. She was basically able to guess the entire plot down to how the Indoraptor dies without even seeing it. Man, I can't wait to see her reaction when she comes back.
Those of you who have seen it: Is Blue the true hero of this movie?
She.
They were all females.
I'd be more impressed if she posted this a month ago. The movie has been out for like 12 days and the plot has been on Wikipedia longer than that.
I will say this: it's perfectly set up to bring back Goldblum for a larger role as well as some of the original cast. I would love to see how Alan and Ellie react to the world being overrun with dinosaurs.
Here's the review thread: https://www.resetera.com/threads/jurassic-world-fallen-kingdom-review-thread.46967/is there no review thread? anyway Stuckmann didnt like it at all
I really didn't care for this movie. How many times are we going to see T-Rex run out and eat a dinosaur that was about to eat our heroes?
Grant could totally be in the next one, they don't have to come up with a way to get him to the island anymore... the dinosaurs came to him lol
It happens twice in this movieThe only other time I can think of where that happened was the first film... unless you count Jurassic World but really they let it out of its cage in that one.
Fair enough, but it feels like a cheap pop. Especially in the two World movies. It grabbed the Carnotaurus... what was the other time? The villain? Wasn't really saving anyone there.

Yup, she singlehandedly gets more people killed than anyone else in the film. Kids ruin everything. The lava is the true hero of the movie, and the cloned girl is the true villain.
You take the words right out of my mouth on why I hate that twistOnly Trevorrow could be so much of a hack as to write that "they're alive like me" sequence.
Especially since her being a clone is given fuck all of significance to the movie. A couple splots of remarkably lazy foreshadowing, a quick reveal, and a verbalized recap of the reveal 15 minutes later, while literally never once establishing what any of it means for her, how she feels about it, the greater implications, etc.. I don't use the word "amateur" lightly, but that exactly what this movie is. It would get torn to shreds in any 100-level writing course at a barely-accredited school.

Yeah tgat honestly would have been great to see But that would require subtletyI didn't like that line. I liked the moment itself but it didn't need any dialogue at all. "They're alive like me" was basically hitting the audience over the head. They shouldn't have shown her beforehand either, as it made it obvious what was about to happen.
The scene should have simply had Owen and Claire looking out at the dinosaurs with sadness on their faces, only to see the door open. The camera cuts to Maisie, with her hand on the button. No dialogue needed at all.
well the very first scene was kind of goodOne of the most miserable experiences Ive ever had watching a movie. There wasn't a single redeemable thing about this movie. Not a single scene I can point to and say "yeah that was good" or even "that was kind of good". I was just bored out of my mind for the entire thing and I couldn't stop checking my watch for what felt like an eternity. It wasn't even so bad its funny good either which is what I was at least hoping for. It was just dull and boring.
I love all the mansion stuff. The pacing that led to it is wonky though.
It's all over the place, but I was giddy during the first 5 minutes.
