did I say they should? Why would Konami want to sell their IP? Why would they EVER do that? Yes it would make fans "happy" but fans don't always know best.

Thank you very much. What they are saying about Transistor verifying them, is correct.
Yes, he has provided us sufficient information to those claims.
It's different but the US branch's PR department of a Japanese publisher not having the latest info or denying stuff isn't something that puts the final nail in the coffin of this type of project being true.
Transistor's response to my IM about whether KatharsisT would be in a position to know this kind of information (SH Reboot still happening):
Definitely not worth that much.. maybe a couple million
So, not sure if I get it, but does that mean he's in position to know stuff, or does that mean he has shown receipts for those specific claims?Transistor's response to my IM about whether KatharsisT would be in a position to know this kind of information (SH Reboot still happening):
Konami: "It's happening"
Era: "It's happening"
Konani: "It's not happening"
Era: "It's happening"
Konami: ....
Era: "Well that means IT'S HAPPENING"
You believe random third parties as opposed to a definitive PR statement from the company involved?I'm still on team Happening.
I believe in DuskGolem and Era's insiders over the US PR branch of a Japanese company.
Haha so true.Konami is a smart company people. Why lend these IP to Sony and make a bunch of money when you can just sit on them and make none?
And Era insiders have never led us astray...You believe random third parties as opposed to a definitive PR statement from the company involved?
The one about Sony buying Metal Gear from Konami and giving it to Kojima was some truly early 2000s-style rumor. The only thing missing was the blurry photo of a printed word document with "confidential" in it.
Konami are lying. They just can't reveal it yet.
Don't worry, you'll know more about that SH reboot later this year.

They said ALL the rumors weren't true. That's a lie.Are they lying when they're not being specific about which runours are untrue? All theyve said is "Silent Hills isn't dead but not in the way it's reported"
Based on...?
So not making another game and just sitting on the IP indefinitely is what's best? Why would Konami want to sell their IP? Why would they EVER do that? Yes it would make fans "happy" but fans don't always know best.
1. I don't think the US branch is that aware of what's going on with business dealings in Japan
2. Several legit people have confirmed the Silent Hill reboot project
3. Konami has a history of miscommunication and mismanagement.
They're still using the IP, even if it's not for things that the people that want another Silent Hill video game don't want. No one here wants Silent Hill to be stuck in Pachinko parlors and casinos, but Konami is still using the IP to make money through them.So not making another game and just sitting on the IP indefinitely is what's best?

You're awfully confident. We had many insiders saying all sorts of stuff about the PS5, were vetted by mods and those rumours turned out to be fake. Hi, Kleegamefan Cobana *waves at camera*Konami are lying. They just can't reveal it yet.

I'm absolutely confident about this because I got a new confirmation recently about the Silent Hill reboot to be announced this year and my source has always been reliable in the past. You're awfully confident. If you're so confident this is 100% true then we'll find out later in the year
You do know that regional branches communicate with the headquarters and get approval for statements of the sort, right?1. I don't think the US branch is that aware of what's going on with business dealings in Japan

This is the same mod team that verified Zippo and his Nintendo Direct leaks that never happened?Transistor's response to my IM about whether KatharsisT would be in a position to know this kind of information (SH Reboot still happening):
Yeah, that was way too far into fanfic territory to be real.
Konami will just let the IP rot.
Same mod team that vetted Zippo, btwTransistor's response to my IM about whether KatharsisT would be in a position to know this kind of information (SH Reboot still happening):
Jesus that's what we are basing this off? The number of people with knowledge of the project would be low I bet so you're essentially painting a target on them.I'm absolutely confident about this because I got a new confirmation recently about the Silent Hill reboot to be announced this year and my source has always been reliable in the past.

Konami is not denying a silent hill project is on the works. Just not what the rumour is speculating. They gain absolutely nothing but vitriol from a group of gamers by coming out and killing this rumour, so pardon me if i'm more inclined to believe them than your mysterious infalible source.
