Worlds Friendliest Gamer with a really important take on modern feminism
It definitely reads like a parody of Boogie.I take World's Friendliest Gamer to be a parody of guys like Boogie, who doesn't seem to ever commit to a position on anything that could result in losing a few fans.

It's a tweet thread, he elaborates a bit.
Aw, I didn't get a chance to read your response.
Jeez, Boogie sounds worse every time I hear him.

To be honest, half the posts here are memes, shitposts, or Youtuber drama. It's not like your post has to hit some invisible standard eh.
That's really great! Some parts of her audience went to extremes to the point of harassment because of her attending this event, but there were people with legitimate concerns that in trying to support Contra by going there you were in fact giving money to a alt-right/anti-lgbt organization.
So hopefully they actually are giving their profits to a charity and people can go there to support Contra with a peace of mind
I dont understand either. What he's talking about?Wait what? I'm not even sure if I understand that Boogie tweet lol. What is he saying?

Uh yeah, that's how I understood it and figured that surely can't be the gist of it lol.He is either being sarcastic or serious, I honestly don't know, it's impossible, but he is saying that if he knew a very lukewarm middle-of-the-road defense of Anita Sarkeesian would get him so much hate online, he not only would never do it, but he would be one of the abusers sending her death threats..
Considering what he said and did in the past, it would probably be a pretty safe guess to say that he's serious. He is either being sarcastic or serious, I honestly don't know, it's impossible, but he is saying that if he knew a very lukewarm middle-of-the-road defense of Anita Sarkeesian would get him so much hate online, he not only would never do it, but he would be one of the abusers sending her death threats.
I guess there's a lesson in there somewhere other than "I am a weak idiot who follows others for complete lack of emotional maturity", but we'll never know.
What Boogie is saying, he has heard things about Anita and if he knew it before he would have never been nice to Anita, like he was at Vidcon.
Jeez, Boogie sounds worse every time I hear him.

The amos thing is just sad to me, because for it to work you essentially have to refute reality.
His whole argument is that he doesn't think there should be an age of consent because some pedo's will be harmed by having to break the law. He thinks its fine to have sex with kids because they can give consent. When pointed out kids can't give consent because they have no way of understanding the consequences he changes reality with this one golden line.
"I don't think a child needs to know about the consequences to give consent."
To him consent means whatever he wants it to me. A child can consent to sex with an adult even though the child can't understand the same way as an adult. At the same time a child shouldn't be allowed to sign a contract because it could be taken advantage of.
It's nuts and sad.
He is not a moderate left, he claims to be centrist. To problem is that the only people he has sided on (and asked people to show compassion for) is gamergaters and white supremacists, so is hard to call him anything but a hypocrite. What I know of Boogie is the guy keeps saying he is a moderate left,
Considering what he said and did in the past, it would probably be a pretty safe guess to say that he's serious.
This a man that embraced gamergate, and when people started to rightfully question why he was doing so he quickly changed the narrative to the fact that people actually just wanted to bully him because of his weight and ''why are people so mean to me can't we just be friends with the hate campaign?''. Thanks to that he was banned from the old place (and hilariously enough when Era was established he tweeted that people here should be more tolerant than before).
And of course he quickly comes to the defence of nazis and white supremacists too, he's scum and a coward.
I know Sargon was there and Anita called him out. I don't think she should have done that during a Q&A panel.
I believe he said something about how he understands that it sucks that the women on the panel were getting death threats and such all the time, but he gets those too, for different reasons, so, like... is it really that bad? I don't remember. I do remember he said he was super nervous going into it. And I think he got to have the final word at the panel and he ended it with whatever his dumb argument was. Was she kind of rude to him? Yeah, sure. But we don't know how that conversation actually played out after the panel was over. I don't doubt that she would have told him that it was a pretty dumb point in a rude way, but I'm not sure it happened the way he initially said it did, or how people think it happened.Apparently Boogie said some things in his roundup of the panel that set Anita off and while he can't remember what they were, he says she was rude an out of line. One of the few things he can remember is that she said "I think it was out of line to bring that up at the end of the panel."

The vidcon situation was a panel that Anita was hosting that was invaded by shitheads like sargon and mundanematt, they got front seats for the panel and started filming her to harass her so of course she made a passing mention of their presence there, making fun of sargon.
So obviously friendly neighbor boogie goes and defends their right to be there.
I don't like Antia, mainly because I feel like her portrayal of the Games Industry it sometimes played up for media attention, but I definitely see the value of having someone like her as a voice. Boogie though. Fuck man.
Can someone explain to me what happened at Vidcon? I know Sargon was there and Anita called him out. I don't think she should have done that during a Q&A panel. (No one is there to listen to that, though in the future I can imagine she could get him blacklisted if she spoke to organisers. ) Apparently Boogie said some things in his roundup of the panel that set Anita off and while he can't remember what they were, he says she was rude an out of line. One of the few things he can remember is that she said "I think it was out of line to bring that up at the end of the panel."
To me that sounds like Boogie made a statement no one could refute. Obviously calling him out on it rudely is not great, but it's not uncalled for if he waited last minute to make a point that no one gets the chance to refute.
What I know of Boogie is the guy keeps saying he is a moderate left, but there are certain things that people ask of him that he really should have no problem declaring opinion on. I think GG got him banned from the site that shall not be named. I saw the message at one point. He got banned because he was defending the feelings of the pro-GGs. I'm not sure on the exact details beyond that, but it feels like that's where all this Anita shit started.
There are just cettian things you expect even a moderate left to come out for and I just don't see it from him. He just comes off as too desperate to sit on the fence.
Is my rundown correct? can someone fill me in on the missing parts?
The panel was literally about women online and the rampant harassment.I don't like Antia, mainly because I feel like her portrayal of the Games Industry it sometimes played up for media attention, but I definitely see the value of having someone like her as a voice. Boogie though. Fuck man.

Sargon and his cronies filled the three front rows. Sargon and his cronies and all those shitheads are the exact same people that have been relentlessly harassing her. Why would she not call them out?
I'm a bit confused on this recent Boogie outburst. So Anita didn't actually do anything recently he disapproved of and he's only saying that because of the reaction from his fanbase for being nice to her at vidcon?
I think he's great at articulating his points, his points being that we should meet white supremacists and women harassers in the middle. But if people try to say they should meet harassed women in the middle his first answer is always ''I been harassed too though?''Admittedly he's not great at articulating what he's talking about, but holy fuck you are twisting his past actions in order to name call him. You are acting the exact same way that the goobergators do when he disagrees with them. It's frankly disgusting. He's a human being.
Yea, Anita was right to call them out. Those guys directed vile abuse at her for years. They showed up to her speaking event and took up the first three rows to continue their harassment in public. Watching Sargon half ironically play the victim afterwards was pretty gross too.I didn't know that part. The only narrative I'd seen was of Sargon being there, but if she saw a whole three rows of them that's horseshit. Fuck them she did the right thing calling them out, I would have gone further with asking staff to remove them.
Edit: ^ dang, that's quite a tweet...

Was Metokur there too? I can't recall.
Also Sblargh I think we can link to tweets from Boogie or other large personalities, but I don't believe the mods want us directly linking to no-name individuals as it may be considered directed dogpilling. You can probably post the quote without the twitter username though.
*I'm not exactly sure about this, I've just seen mods get annoyed about it in the past.

It isn't that Boogie is a weak man. I mean, he is. But there's more to it than that. Boogie is a spineless social chameleon and opportunistic traitor. That fat butterball pussy act that he puts on, and it is an act, is a smokescreen to keep you too busy feeling bad for the big obese baby to really pay attention to what he's doing. He is consistently and constantly pushing everyone he should support under the bus so that the people he ought to oppose can trample on them for the faint hint of their approval. Which he will never get. He's a total fucking scumbag, he just does a good job of disguising it with self infantilism. Fuck Boogie.
You dont need to twist anything. The fucker even recently said how feminist men are actually sexual harassers and only centrist men show actual respect for women.Admittedly he's not great at articulating what he's talking about, but holy fuck you are twisting his past actions in order to name call him. You are acting the exact same way that the goobergators do when he disagrees with them. It's frankly disgusting. He's a human being.
What other context? He keeps saying we should respect women while in the same breath saying we should see the side of the harrasers and #gamergate is about ethics in games journalism (the same talk point of gamergaters).Holy shit, you love to take shit out of context to be a hateful person, don't you.
Yep. This fucking dude looked at a cosplayer being relentlessly harassed and his response was " well this is the fault of the makers of the game being inclusive, of course alt righters are going to lash out"Boogie was asking the people behind MTG to stop making "SJW" cards so they could be more inclusive towards bigots
