That probably explains why they made Ni No Kuni 2 in the first place. NNK2 is gorgeous though so there's no negative on that.
Nah, that game would have been to expensive to be subsidized by YW4. Seems more like YW4 was made concurrently and profiting off the money Bamco was spending on NNK2
True and given the content the game has, especially compared to the first, it's a low budget affair. I think this will be their future engine and it fits with the current presentation/art style most L5 game have.
They could have reworked the original battle system and spending even less as it was automatic with not much interaction.
