I can say for sure though that Vita sales are definitely going down though. Even with bigger titles. We have some huge ones coming out and a few localizations coming but Vita is definitely a shrinking market. I keep getting messages from previous Vita fans saying they are going to buy our Switch stuff instead, going forward. I've even seen journalists who claimed to be Vita diehards switch to the Switch. We are going to keep pushing it as long as we can but we can see why others have dropped it. =(

I mean the first thing he said is that Vita sales are slowing down. They have all the numbers and statistics. As long as sales keep backing your Vita releases, why bother with people saying they'll buy your Switch releases instead? There hasn't been a single multiplatform release (or even Vita exclusive) that took longer to sell on the Vita in comparison to the PS4 counterpart (or even other PS4 exclusives).

Still, I'm going to keep doing what I've always been doing which is buying the games from you which interest me the most, solely on Vita.
This is what we are trying to communicate, this mentality. If people are "cherry picking" Vita releases then we are definitely going to slow down on signing new Vita games. The MOQ is too high to take chances with Vita as well as the COGS. We have already had to drop our run sizes to what is manageable and some Vita releases take longer to sell out than PS4. You combine that with Vita "die-hards" telling me they are now on Switch it makes absolute sense why other companies stopped supporting it. Our goal is to do it until there is either A. No market, or B. Sony says stop. I love my Vita and still play it more than Switch right now, so if the true Vita fans keep buying from us then everything is okay! One of the games I signed has a huge run but it's something no one would have ever thought we'd pull off. So I have faith that Vita will last at least until the end of this year, optimistically until next year, but statistic wise it's not looking good which saddens me.
I only have a Vita, so I'll be playing that for a while until I save up enough money to buy a Switch whenever that is.
Is it Phantom Breaker?
I usually stand by the sidelines in these threads, but come on. You expect people to buy every release just because it's s Vita release? You know, people do have "taste" and "preferences" with ALL releases regardless of platform or who releases them. I love me some Vita, but I don't buy every Vita release just because it's on Vita or it's Limited. Same goes for PS4 and same will go for Switch. This is what we are trying to communicate, this mentality. If I'm understanding this wrong, please elaborate on what you mean, because what the hell?
Yes, I understand demand is dying out for Vita, and it's just about run its course, but I don't get the "cherry picking" here..
shhh. let me dream. There are not too many vita titles deserving of a huge run, I doubt it is phantom breaker.
If people keep selling their Vitas and moving on to Switch then that's a reason...If you fix your business practices, there is no reason vita releases can't continue to thrive.
No, you are wrong, if we didn't give a shit we wouldn't keep supporting the Vita. Super false.Kinda shows LRG mentality, doesn't it... they don't give two shits about the consumer
I read your post, my statement was just based on what Limited Run Games said about Vita sales slowing down. It's their business, I'd assume they have the numbers and would have a better grasp on sale numbers and trends than consumers.Have you read my post? I said they're selling at the same pace, both PS4 and Vita releases. Every single release so far, including the recent ones, have been like that. If it's taking more than a weekend to sell out a Vita title, the same thing is happening to the PS4 release.
Seconded. I'd buy a copy on any platform LRG decided to publish this on.Just for the record, I said this on the other forum and will say it again: I'll buy ten copies of Stranger of Sword City Revisited if you let me. That's how much I want it. Make it happen.

Lrg see the sales patterns and statistics we do not
Give them a break, at least someone is releasing these games and I hope they get some big wish list titles soon
I call it how I see it... Every vita title has sold out so far. But yet you guys continually bitch and moan. Must be exhausting.
I was always curious about this. I have so far assumed, that most clients for your business are collectors, but still people that cherry pick their releases of interest. Your reply, however, implies that a bigger chunk of your business is actually revenue from clients that go for a whole set - buying every release on a given platform, that is. Is that true?
Thank you for this!I really appreciate that we have someone from LRG take the time to post here, but I suspect that will stop soon if he keeps being treated disrespectfully.
We all have opinions about how LRG should operate and what makes the most sense. Maybe some of those opinions are clouded by personal bias. Regardless, it's constructive to voice those opinions here, especially when we know that they will be read/responded to, but I feel like the tone that a lot of you are using has started becoming rude and dismissive.
Just my opinion.
Thank you for this!
This was one of my favorite forums to visit but now I dread refreshing this thread.
I feel like that if it came out closer to when Runner 2, it would've sold faster. That's just me though. We definitely do benefit from full set collectors! BIT.TRIP did well, in the end, I guess I just expected everyone who bought Runner 2 to come back and grab the first one.
They sold 2300 vita copies of the bit trip.. THE BIT TRIP... imagine if they sold a game worthwhile... there have been a couple but most are bottom tier trash that only sold due to low print numbers.

Working on it! Maybe....
Me too man. Me too.
Working on it! Maybe....
Just signed a Vita exclusive today actually.
I completely agree. It's one thing to voice your opinion and disagree with them but some of these replies are way too hostile.
My birthdays in April, any of the following would be nice lol
Hellblade , night in the woods, Furi switch
April 25th to be precise
I'm of the opinion that if you don't like something then don't buy it and if you compulsion that you need to buy everything then seek professional help, not kidding. If you continue to buy things you absolutely detest and are angry about it then that's a personal problem and you need to realize that.
why you gotta tease me like that. </3Working on it! Maybe....

^Available quantities are 12, 10 and 7 copies respectively so it's the last call now. Funny how the unsold quantities for all three SKUs are so close to each other.
