Hey, thanks to anyone who bought Home today on PS4 or Vita. It means a lot!
I hope Dragon Sinker will get a physical release too.

I feel bad if you really, really thought Vita was going to last forever. Developers had been canceling Vita ports long before Switch was announced. It was a great handheld and we will support it as long as we can but unless Sony comes up with something comparable, Vita's life is quickly running out. I can confirm Vita is struggling based on our sales. Sure lately they still sell out, but we've been having to lower the amount of units as we don't want to get stuck with any.

Since there was some discussion about it a while ago, Doug's post about the matter on the LRG forums.
I have noticed Vita runs have been getting lower for some games so wondered if this was the case. Then again, both Factotum and Home this week have the same number of copies across PS4 & Vita and the Vita versions are (so far) shifting faster in both cases.
If only we had a thread with all releases in the OP :Dhasn't it just been the case of crappy games selling slowly? i honestly have no idea what has released within the last 2 months because whoever updates the wikipedia page hasn't since december 15th
I bought it digitally and physically. It's a great game and I'm glad it's out there. It's one of the first games I downloaded on my Vita years ago and it's weirdly nostalgic for me at this point. It's a great game and I'm glad you made it. Thank you!
You don't really understand the situation behind that thread or the back story of the guy I'm replying to. I'm trolling that person because they are a well known personality in the LRG community that is typically unreasonable in every aspect.I really don't like they're condescending attitude with that post. Like, no one thinks Vita is going to last forever, and we all realize it's in its twilight years. No one is asking them to develop Vita games. Just continue to support the Vita like they have been instead of whining about how it's failing, because unless they're secretly selling more PS4 copies than they let on, what we're seeing on the website tells us it sells at the same rate PS4 games do.

arent a lot of these games lower amounts bc although they might be a little popular, it would be harder to sell more amounts? I assume Oddworld will have more than 2k or 2.5k... it all depends on the title.... even if u had to just make 1000 copies of a game in order to sell out, you would stop altogether? Still means money for you guys and the devs..
I can't say much other than 1,000 isn't the MOQ so yeah if it got that low we would stop. :(
Yeah the MOQ is lower in Europe as well which isn't fair! GrrYeah, i figured SLG was doing close to the MOQ, which if it comes to that, shouldnt be too hard to sell out..... I am still holding out that some games make it to physical vita
probably based on smaller populations and remember they usually print for mutliple countries so an order of 10k could have 6k for the uk and the 4k split between france, spain, germany and italy with different packaging
The porting team forgot to check a box. And that box was very importantI want news about the localization damn... and salt and sanctuary doesn't have patches on vita that solved the problems the game had?
I hate UPS soooooooo much! My Windjammers shipped out on the 28th... It's apparently been in my (small) town (with a small but quick) post office since Wednesday... I have no idea if UPS is fumbling about with USPS, because usually once it lands in my town, I get it within a day via USPS. Nothing's updated since the 7th, so who knows who actually has it and what the hold up is :/ I just hope that I GET it. I really hate it when UPS passes it off to the post office than just deliver it themselves. It's an incredible hassle...
I have nothing but good experiences with UPS Ground or better. The experience you are describing is every UPS Mail Innovations delivery I've ever had. I'd consider it a small miracle if one of those got turned around in a day after arriving locally.
I wish they'd let us use a different shipping method. It's like they want to inflict as much pain as possible.

They're 50/50, some blame is game choices and some is userbase moving away to other consoles. If you were trolling does that mean Vita versions aren't struggling in sales for you? :P
But who knows, maybe when people see our announcements it will cause them to dust off their Vita or go buy another one.

It's definitely not like it was 6 months ago though. I have faith some of the bigger titles we have will draw some more customers back. But I do truly believe some have just plain moved on from Vita. But who knows, maybe when people see our announcements it will cause them to dust off their Vita or go buy another one. If the Vita is going out soon I want it to go out with a bang!
Just had a childhood friend I'm visiting this weekend tell me he doesn't collect Vita anymore and mainly uses it if he wants to replay old Final Fantasy games. Hoping when I tell him about Munch he gets hyped again though since he first introduced me to Oddworld!
i am waiting for these announcements
I think its for several reasons and by most likely in this order...Just out of interest - do you think people still collect PS4 like they used to? Because something seems to be slowing down those releases too.
Things definitely weren't where they were a while ago but it seems to be the same about both consoles. I understand you have to be conscious of when Vita finally dies because it's going to be a lot sooner than PS4, but still.
This personally affected me as I had like 4 CEs shipped to me in a two week span and none of them were cheap...
