As a marketing person who worked in influencer agencies before, I'd say 70% of influencers have no fucking clue of the products they're shilling for. This doesn't excuse Tara for being a disappointment for siding with the NFT crowd though, just a thought.

The film that started this model (funding a film a frame at a time) is also a notorious scam that has duped a bunch of gullible celebrities. It's just the star registry thing all over again, it plays to peoples ego perfectly. That it uses NFTs is just icing on the cake, this would have been an absolute con even without NFTs.
Kind of shocking that the touted "green" coin still uses...over 100 times more energy per transaction than something like Visa (just using a rough estimate from the first Google result).
