The Los Angeles Clippers played their final regular-season game at the Crypto.com Arena, formerly the Staples Center, against the visiting Houston Rockets last Sunday, April 14.

The team ensured that it was a memorable night for everyone in attendance. The event marked the end of their lease in the building, which began in the 1999-2000 season.

The Clippers reportedly covered the costs of concessions (food and drink) for all the fans in the building, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

While the total amount remains undisclosed, 19,370 fans were present at the game, as reported by the league.

The Clippers will continue to use the Crypto.com Arena for the 2024 NBA Playoffs, where they will face the Dallas Mavericks in the first round.

However, starting next season, they will relocate to their new state-of-the-art home arena, the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

In addition to the Clippers' gracious gesture, fans in the arena were treated to even more free food courtesy of Houston Rockets center Boban Marjanovic.

Taking advantage of the Clippers' promotion, where fans receive a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich if a visiting team misses two consecutive free throws in the fourth quarter, the Serbian big man intentionally missed a foul shot, allowing the fans to enjoy the complimentary sandwich.

The food offerings may provide some consolation for the Clippers, considering their 116-105 loss to the Rockets.

Boban missing that shot on purpose and interacting with the opposing crowd like that is one of the most wholesome sports moments I've seen in a while.

I read the thread as the Clippers paying for the cost of a concussion for fans so I came into the thread thinking a bunch of people got hit in the head with a basketball or something lol

This is pretty cool. More teams should do stuff like this and more often since public money pays for the stadium or arenas.

Steve Ballmer baby. He was a nut as the Microsoft CEO but dude really is helping the Clippers and their fans. The only problem is they are the Clippers.

He's building another stupid stadium in a city that doesn't need another. And he's doing it in a place that doesn't have access to public transit. Don't know how that's "helping."

I guess to help the Clippers establish themselves and not be at the mercy at the Staples Center owners, also he brought the Forum too I guess which is weird and yeah, Inglewood is kinda now missing a good chunk.
