Possible but it'll be weird starting a show right before sweeps starts. I'm guessing it starts after A4 is out but during sweeps. Some wires are likely getting crossed here, I think. I mean, "Summer movie season" starts at the end of April/early May. I don't think ABC is holding the show for the literal summer.
If it's "being held for summer," my guess is April. A few weeks before Avengers 4 and a few weeks after.
I think she's just assuming that, as only "summer" was mentioned.
Very strange though.
I think you're in denial here, but I'm sure this will be made explicit one way or another very soon.
I'm not in denial, I think there's something incorrect in the reporting.
If I'm wrong, that's fine, but it makes little sense to premiere completely after A4.
I swear to God that if, there will be anger.AoS dusts anyone and I have to wait a year to find out what happened

But that's the problem: we know what will happen, especially if it premieres after A4.
That's why it makes no sense to do it that way. It's much more interesting to have a season that takes place in the aftermath of A4 than skip it completely.
Very strange.
We all know how A4 will most likely end, and it's entirely possible that Marvel Studios doesn't want anyone but themselves defining what the post-IW world looks like.
because #itsallconnectedThat could be a possibility and the only reason why I could see them doing this.
But they have also been building up the events of IW in the show. Why do that at all if they're not going to actually react to it? Just ignore it otherwise.
The official line from ABC is that this is entirely their decision and has nothing to do with Marvel Studios. I suspect that's only partially true, but take that for what it's worth.

That kinda reminds me: does anyone remember when (Joss) Whedon attempted to make up for causing bad PR for his brother and sister-in-law during the AoU press junket by tweeting a hilariously amateurish meme of Coulson saying something like "Don't worry, Avengers, I know you guys have a plan for me and I'll be there whenever you need me!" I wish I could find that, but I swear to god it was a thing that actually happened.
It would be much smarter to air from right before Captain Marvel until right after Avengers 4.
The story possibilities are amazing for a post-IW world.
I think they could still do that in a summer season. They just start it chronologically over the past year and then end it in the present.
I mean, trying to do a season before Avengers 4 would've made it quite difficult when...
You'd have to lose 1-2 members of your main cast for no reason other then them getting dusted. That would suck for that actor. Sitting out 11-12 episodes to only come back for the last few? No thanks.
Well, no. I'm referring to having a couple episodes before Captain Marvel comes out then the show continues until a couple weeks after Avengers 4 releases.
I'm legit shocked that they wouldn't set it up that way. Will be interesting to see how the finale ends, given this scheduling news.
Nah its better this way because the audience knows ahead of time what happens in A4 so the show doesn't have to twiddle their thumbs until Avengers 4 premieres in order to deal with the fallout of that movie, you feel me?.
Nope, not sure what you mean by that. How does the audience know what happens in A4? The audience has no idea how this will be resolved.
And the movies won't have a chance to dive into the impact that the end of IW actually had on the world.
I'm not one to count chickens before they hatch, but if S6 isn't going to pick up until after the post-A4 timeline reset... it wouldn't exactly make much narrative sense to depict the IW ending in the S5 finale, would it?

Maybe I missed something, but if AoS is airing after A4 in the summer then wont audiences know...what happened in A4?
Yes, I remember that happening, and I couldn't find it either last time I went looking for it. It went more like "Don't tell them, Maria, they need to focus on the mission and it might distract them if they knew I was here".That kinda reminds me: does anyone remember when (Joss) Whedon attempted to make up for causing bad PR for his brother and sister-in-law during the AoU press junket by tweeting a hilariously amateurish meme of Coulson saying something like "Don't worry, Avengers, I know you guys have a plan for me and I'll be there whenever you need me!" It sounded like you were saying it works better to not premiere before A4... because the audience knows what will happen in it.
My point is that it's more interesting to see the characters react to the events of IW before it's "fixed" in A4, which is why I wanted a spring premiere.
You can film it the time you normally would and keep it in the can for a few months. Not a big deal. That premiere window seems super rough to the actors and crew, who essentially are still blocked out of working other TV projects for the year but getting half the work.
I really hope Deke sticks. Jeff Ward has been a great addition to the cast.
But yeah Deke is a great addition to the cast and I do hope he sticks around.
I agree. Deke annoyed me at first, but the second half of the season has endeared me to him and even actually has me rooting for Daisy and Deke to become a thing, unlike Ward or Lincoln.

Besides, at this point, they are the only main SHIELD team members that aren't paired up. Plus, the comedic potential for Daisy to be dating FitzSimmons' grandson is too good to pass up.
Fitz would most of all, and it's his grandson!I feel like everyone would roast tf outta Daisy if she actually dates him. I know I would.

Is it standard to be finishing VFX ~75 hours before airing? That seems like it's cutting it mighty close.
So everything can be...perfectly balanced.I was wondering the same thing. It's likely pretty close to this time but maybe they had some extra... effects... to add.
