That scene at the beginning makes me think this character is wholely based on the monkey meme where it looks like it's drowning someone in a hot spring. Is this true which came first? It says hit monkey first appeared in 2010. That meme is probably that old.

Not digging the animation but Fat Cobra and Lady Bullseye are in it so Imma watch it.

It's both. There is a real comic character that this is based on, but it's from 2010 and was absolutely inspired by the meme.
Anyway, he hung out with Deadpool.
Why not both? The character was created in 2010 and I looked it up and the meme is older than the character. So I doubt this idea was created independent of the meme. Based on wiki he's also in the Deadpool univeri or has appeared in Deadpool so it's meme nature is less surprising.
It's disappointing it looks like the same cheap animation the Loeb era went with but it looks like it might be fun?

Like MODOK, Hit Monkey was too far along to scrap. Though it seems like Feige has no plans to continue either.
I thought Helstrom was the last project :v

I'm not opposed to R-Rated animated Marvel shows, but I really wish they choose better characters(or teams) to star with(why Modok of all characters). They should adapt NextWave for animated series-if they can.
Yes, but it was pitched and was in preproduction by Marvel Animation way before the Marvel Studios merger.
