oddjobs watching the first round of the King of DDT tournament and holy shit! You're right I never would've predicted that result 😅. It was a really good match also.

YEAH! Old fart can still go!

Overall I feel like we're headed towards a Takagi / Higuchi -final.

Takagi has announced that he'll retire from wrestling full time after Peter Pan this year, so "Takagi's last stand" would make sense as a story. Then on the flipside Ueno's whole arc as a champion thus far has been fighting and beating guys who have had an integral role in DDT - Dino, Harashima & Akito.

Either Takagi or Higuchi would fit in that story. I don't think either will win the title though - ultimately Ueno will also have to beat Takeshita (Ueno has lost all 8 of their singles matches!) to tie things up.

And then you have Higuchi and Brookes on the same side of the bracket, so they can re-do their match from the finals last year (with the opposite result.)

That said, the sauna boys are the most popular thing going so I can't also overrule MAO coming out as the winner somehow - though TO-Y may beat him before he has the chance I guess.

I'm watching DSOTR on Black Saturday and it's something I really never knew the details about.

It's really insane that the WWF's national expansion basically hinged on Ole Anderson being a dick head and forcing Jim Barnett out of Georgia Championship Wrestling.

It might still have happened anyways but boy it's nuts how much Vince associating with Barnett just accelerated the entire thing.

From what I'm seeing, this Jim Barnett guy was the Geoff Keighley of wrestling back in the day.

It's Funny and sad that Dana needed to leave WWE to finally have some character development, even though it's a diet version to what Tony Storm is doing.

Really excited for BOSJ this year. Even without Master Wato 😆. A lot of great match ups for night 1 also.

This was Master Wato's to win. They should have delayed the tournament.

Looking at the blocks I think this is what we get

A Block Final: Despy vs TJP
B Block Final: Ishimori vs Hiromu
Final: Despy vs Hiromu
Winner: Hiromu

Wato comes back to dethrone Hiromu
Hiromu moves to heavyweight Divison
Wato earns the respect from Despy. They release a new photo of them posing with Despy throwing up the peace sign. It is a T-Shirt
