I think it depends heavily on if the Fox deal goes through, I'm sure they have two different plans based on that.

Time for some more teamups instead of standalone sequels.
This is exactly where I think they're going with it too. Not gonna be many solo films or big event films but it'll start being team up films for a while instead.

I'll eat my hat if Homecoming 3/Far From Home 2 isn't July 2021.

Also, they're gonna plant something big on that Feb 2021 date, since Valentine's Day will be that Sunday and I think President's Day will be that Monday, which would be a recipe for a huge opening weekend. Black Panther 2 is the most likely scenario, the question is whether Coogler would want to come back to it that quickly (they'd probably want to start shooting end of next year to make that date comfortably).
Get ready to eat your hat cause these are Disney's dates, Sony isn't included. :S

July 2021 isn't on that list. They've got a July movie for 2020 and 2022, but not 2021. I wonder why?

Am I wrong, or is Iron Man 4 a real possibility? I'm not so sure they're done with the character after Avengers 4, it always makes a load of money, and I'm fairly certain RDJ would do another.

My biggest question is whether they'll limit the number of concurrent franchises or go for more over a longer period of time.

I still would rather the first, and have them focus on Black Panther, Strange, and Captain Marvel (+ X-Men) than try to service Black Widow, Hawkeye and whatever else at the same time. More concurrent for sure, as they're sticking to 3 a year now, but not so much that I have to wait 7 years for the next Strange.

  1. May 1, 2020 - Black Widow
  2. July 31, 2020 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
  3. November 6, 2020 -Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme
  4. February 12, 2021 - Black Panther 2
  5. May 7, 2021 - Eternals
  6. November 5, 2021 - Thor 4
  7. February 18, 2022 - Captain Marvel 2
  8. May 6, 2022 - Avengers 5
  9. July 29, 2022 - Ant-Man 3
I want Ant-Man in a new slot where it doesn't come out after an Avengers film. I also want more new heroes or solos. Like Nova, Scarlet Witch or Young Avengers, Power Pack or Moon Knight. Even Namor. I also want an Iron Man 4 but that's never gonna happen.

Holy smokes you're right I totally right, I misread the dates. I think you just might be on to something there!
I covered it in a post in our Marvel Cinematic Universe OT. They originally had a July 30, 2021 spot but changed it to February 12, 2021. They might let Sony release Spider-Man 3 in said month though.
