Hmm, Famitsu has BotW up this week...15./15. [NSW] The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild # <ADV> (Nintendo) {2017.03.03} (¥6.980) - 6.267 / 1.250.671 <80-100%> (+10%)
Nintendo has announced that Fiscal Year Earnings Release will be on April 25th, so April 26th for investor briefing. Will be an interesting one. Not sure how much Golden Weak will impact the English translation of the Q&A.

It's smart to switch things up with LABO. Concept is really good but I guess pricing didn't really appeal to customers.[NSW] Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit <EDU> (Nintendo) {2018.04.20} (¥6.980)

Nintendo did many changes for 4th Kit comparing to what was initially expected from Camera/Gun Kit. 2 SKUs, one with low price, VR lite and rumored compatibility with some of Switch big franchises. There will be a video reveal soon so that pre-orders open but it looks an ambitious entry which if it doesn't catch neither now at west it will likely be the last one. At least for Japan things could look good for sales since Labo has created an audience.

Devil May Cry V is the big game of the week, releasing today Friday.
Unless more pokemon news shows up in the next month, PS4 will probably beat Switch by a few weeks. Not expecting Yoshi to move too many units.
Not sure if this is a joke, lolAt the rate the PS4 is selling here right now perhaps the sales go down to zero before reaching 8 mio...
But honestly Yoshi will move a relatively large amount of units. Even in month with no new big releases the Switch manages 50-65k, with a anticipated game like Yoshi it will double that probably for a few weeks.
That is kinda shit yeahOK, Square Enix delivers 80k copies of Left "Alive", (oversupply of almost 70%) and ignores the demand of Octopath traveler for like 1 month after launch. That make sense.

At least Amazon lasts until 31 March, if supplies last until then. From what I have read the campaign is at Bic, Sofmap, Kojima (all owned by Bic), Amazon, and Rakuten. The sale last until the 24th.

The smartphone octopath looks like though
No, it was just announced, there should be a thread by nowedit: nevermind. Don't know if Xenoblade or Octopath won in the end. What was X2 last at?
yo, phone octopath? Did we know about this?
will it come to the west
SE screwed you over lol.just looked.
Xeno 2 was 1.53 million as of Sept 2018.
I believe I predicted Octopath would outsell Xeno WW back when they were announced in 1/2017.
....also thought Octopath would do more in Japan, which may have messed up my guess.
lol not for the first time.
lol not for the first time.
Predicted FF15 would be 2017, when it clearly should've been cause it wasn't done.
and that KH3 would be 2018, but they just had to delay it.
Good for Xeno though.
I thought Octopath would do 2m though.
2m would seem like a stretch though. It's not done selling. It still could inch towards it. SE fucked up the shipments in Japan hard though.
Octo and xeno are currently in a race to 2 million, they both will eventually get there tho which is a great win for jrpgslol not for the first time.

I don't see how they will both sell more 500K. Nintendo doesn't even promote them anymore and people can buy used copies.Octo and xeno are currently in a race to 2 million, they both will eventually get there tho which is a great win for jrpgs
They are exclusives and Switch will sell to a bunch of new customers in the next couple years - it's pretty much a given.I don't see how they will both sell more 500K. Nintendo doesn't even promote them anymore and people can buy used copies.

RPGs are frontloaded. Digital sales can help get to that yes (I think it's the only way to be honest), but I still don't think it's a lock for games like this. They are exclusives and Switch will sell to a bunch of new customers in the next couple years - it's pretty much a given.
They just need to be part of one big sales or get a price drop down the line. These games haven't reached their full sales potential yet - Octopath is still as expensive as it was on its release week.
Sales are obviously coming mostly from outside of Japan.
No doubt in my mind they will release those numbers - I don't think you realize how early the Switch is in its lifecycle and how many cards are still left to play regarding these titles.RPGs are frontloaded.
