I think a lot of the problem I'm having this year is so many of the looks are what they'd wear to a "normal" red carpet event. Like some of these are just Oscar outfits unchanged.
This is supposed to be high fashion. It's supposed to be strange and wild.
I respect Gwendoline Christie going for theme[?] here, but the cape coulda been more exciting. Yellow shoes are a weird choice. But I like the hair poof!
Yeah this isn't it... What a rare miss. D:
i feel like this whole look isn't as flattering as it could be, especially for someone as gorgeous as simone ashley

Intricate beadwork will always be the most impressive thing to me.
She is serving water nymph fantasy.
model Wisdom Kaye had a similar look, but his was more Romancing SaGa remake Red Mage than Tuxedo Mask
Agreed, I'd genuinely want to own it and wear it to places where I'd be vastly over dressed. I'd be doing a public service.

It's essentially a fundraiser for a museum. I get it though.
Adut could have been so much better (she's so pretty and this is kinda blah), but LaQuan looks quite dashing (and geez those rings).
I love this a lot in both concept and execution.
Gigi Hadid in a Hollywood 50s throwback outfit. I like it!
The rim where the skirt begins is actually a blazer
The subtle colours of this though just 😚👌Alia Bhatt (most of y'all would maybe know her from RRR) looks purdy
hum so like what is this event about actually? like what are these people dressing for?
Love it. Carry on-- 🌿Why's a Tekken thread in Etcetera?
Don't mind me, I can barely dress myself
Huppert has often spoken of her fashion heritage as the great-great-granddaughter of Marthe Bertrand, who in 1895 founded the famous maison of Callot Sœurs, with her three sisters, Marie, Régina and Joséphine. She appeared on the Met Gala 2024 red carpet in a reinterpretation of a 1930s Callot Sœurs wedding dress with a champagne-colored silk satin petal train.

Elizabeth Debicki pulling off what I'll say is a tough colour. Her light yellow hair, complimentary accessory, and I'm even gonna say the natural green Met Gala decor is really making the colours blend nicely.
