We're talking about Halo Infinite here.
If Apex did it successfully, a game like Halo with the backing of Microsoft can do it imo.
I can't wait for Halo but I don't want them to shadow drop the multiplayer, want it all in one go alongside the campaign.
Multiplayer is free to play without Game Pass, unless they put an arbitrary Game Pass exception just for this early access but nothing has indicated they will.
In short, I think you're likely gonna be playing Halo Infinite on Monday :D

I hope this is true, and I think it could be.
It would be nothing but a positive for Halo itself. It'd generate hype across the board. People would then be waiting for the campaign to release too. It'd give the pro scene more hands on time before the game's first big tournament.

No way. They would want it to be roughly a month from Forza Horizon 5 to give it some breathing room

Yea that's true; just feels like not enough build up for the general public though, marketing-wise where there's usually a future date tied.

Soft/Stealth-launching what was supposed to be your flagship launch title is certainly a strategy lol.

I think it would be such a big deal that it would really spread by word of mouth.
"You can download it now" is a very powerful phrase.
Also worked well with Fallout Shelter in 2015.
There are arguments for both doing it vs. not doing it, I'll be interested to see what happens.
