Still too close.

Literally the most pathetic man in the world and we have to fight tooth and nail to convince people to not vote for him.

America is beyond saving.

That means there are 60% that currently don't want him... these are bad numbers for him. Let's all hope for no independent spoiler candidate that actually has clout.
Idk what report that is, but seemingly everyone I talk to is saying the opposite, including my Trump-loving parents.
I have a bigger refund this year, but that is because I didn't do as much untaxed side jobs last year. Also, I wouldn't let that influence my opinions on how Trump and the GOP are handling the country.

As long as the 6/10 Americans who would vote against him actually do vote against him this is academic.

Of course whether they do actually go out and vote is another matter entirely.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Donald Trump to get like 60 million votes in the next election. That's probably the minimum for most any Republican candidate at this juncture. Hillary Clinton received nearly 66 million in the last election and Trump had roughly 63 million for reference.

From the article: Only 25% would vote for a socialist. Only 37% someone over 75 years old.

We are fucked if Bernie wins. And I say this as someone who voted for Bernie.

This man embarrasses himself daily and has made America a laughing stock of the world.

That 4/10 people in America will vote for him or the Republicans no matter what, just shows how messed up your country is.

And 2 of those 10 are completely ignorant and could be swayed to trump by another Buttery Email.

I'm not worried about this yet. In a year maybe, but definitely in 18 months.

it all depends on who the Dems nominate. It has to be someone that can win those few swing states that barely flipped to the idiot.

4 out of 10 Americans need to check the arsenic levels in their local water supply because it is far too high.

I thought they'd take the house, but wasn't as sure as I am of Trump being re-elected,

Lol. And what has you so sure? That his base is shrinking? That more and more moderates are opposed to him? That the states that gave him the 80k votes to squeek by have flipped to dems? Please do tell what EVIDENCE there is to show he's in a better position today than in 2016.

And it shows that Trump is not going to win the popular vote once again. In most countries, that would be the end of the story. But with the electoral college, he still has a chance. Start with the 2016 map, and give the 2020 D nominee back MI, WI, and PA (plus Maine 2) and they win the election. Lose any of those 3, and Trump is President. They could also win by picking up other states like Florida, but good luck with that state that singlehandedly placed a black mark on an otherwise amazing 2018 election. There could also be dark horse states like TX, AZ, and GA, but you would probably win Florida before you win those. And I think Iowa and Ohio are out, NC is a slight possibility.

Yes, 40% of the country are racists and/or idiots. Unfortunately most of us knew that already.

I think we need to greet both those results of Socialists being unpopular and that news that 40% would vote to re-elect Trump with the knowledge that in the general election there is always an evening out of the two candidates' poll numbers.

Trump's numbers could easily improve from here once his opposition becomes clear.

If he gets say 42% of the vote then he loses the election by the largest margin since 1984. Shit he can get 45% and he would still lose by 8ish points.

This is one of the worrying things about the whole Trump situation. I'd say it's damn near certain he'll get voted out but the fact that so many people would still vote for him after everything that's happened is scary.
The real problem is that in future, there will be someone who has all of Trump's shittiness, but non of his stupidity.

In a sense, his complete lack of competence is actually uniting a lot of people against him, but that some of those moderates might side with such a person in future elections.

why are we still making threads about individual polls

at least try to style it up with more than a link and a meme sentence

throw in an actual thought or two and talk about his overall approval rating aggregate and you'd have a perfectly respectable thread

41% will vote for him
48% wont vote for him
11% undecided

I'd like to see what this is per state.

11% undecided seems high, but is very low compared to most presidents. I wonder which Democrat candidates they'd vote for over Trump.

I'm pretty convinced that a clone of Hitler would get at least that much support among the GOP.

I want him to lose as much as the rest of you.

But you should also prepare yourself for the possibility he wins.

Americans have gone crazy town. Nobody personifies crazy and stupid better than our current president.

It does make we wonder who is going to replace him and what conversations we are going to be having about politics in 4-10 years. The optimist in me is hoping it is more sane and progressive, but the realist in me is definitely afraid. It could also somehow get worse.
