They were definitely leaning into that in the animated movies, I hope they stick with it. If they do that, then I'm definitely in.His character in the movie, plus the visual style of Sin City, and the hard boiled dialogue and setting of Max Payne 1, would be ideal.
A chance to be good? It's starring Nic fucking Cage. He is a legend. It's weird enough that it has a chance to be good, but it's one of those projects I read about and think, "there's no way this ends up profitable."
Disney has nothing to do with it. Sony has the rights in this case.Prime? For a Marvel series?
Is Disney doing the Warner thing now?

BatmanFantastic! Hope it gets the budget and creativity it deserves as a project!
So he played Superman, Ghost Rider and Spider-Man now in live action. Who's next?
Why would it be on Max?I don't understand, why not Max or Disney? How did Amazon get the rights?
I always figured this would be the sort of project that's obviously a cool idea but dies on the vine because of busy talent or shit.
Because they bid on them? Amazon went for Silk and Spider-Man Noir.I don't understand, why not Max or Disney? How did Amazon get the rights?

Most likely Disney passed. We don't know the terms of their deal, but I'd imagine they get a reasonable right of first refusal on any Marvel content under their Sony/MCU deal. I could be wrong, but that would strike me as non-negotiable.
It says prime will have a "global" launch so I'd assume that includes the US.It's not on Prime.
(At least not in the US. I suspect Amazon might put it on Prime internationally as MGM+ is pretty territorially limited.)
