I was thinking the same thing!!

Announced, but no reveal. We know nothing of it short of it existing.
Yeah, to be honest, we are just big fans of The Wild Thornberrys.

It keeps things interestingYou and me continue to have strangely differing opinions when I least expect it lmao
Don't let them get to you!
Ohhh
Yes. We're all part of a Nintendocratic astroturfing group called ShareCon.
The time for modesty is overShit, here I was imagining a modest Direct but now you all have me fully expecting Smash.
I'm gonna end up being disappointed aren't I?
Wouldn't say that's impossible.
I'm perfectly okay with this as long as we get Dixie. Lets get some better gender representation!Year of Funky with him being in Tropical Freeze and a newcomer in Smash. Let's go!
No you're not. It's the first real direct. Nintendo said it's focusing on games releasing this year. That's from now to DecemberShit, here I was imagining a modest Direct but now you all have me fully expecting Smash.

Yeah, I know a lot of melee players that feel the same way. They are 100% fine with playing the game the way it is forever or would want some very minor tweaks like what you mentioned, not really wanting a melee 2. And yeah that's not a bad thing, melee is great, and a rerelease like that wouldn't be a bad idea. I don't think that a more competitive smash would have to fracture the fanbase though, because again, I feel like most melee players love melee the way it is and would just continue to play that, maybe dabbling in the new game like they did with brawl and smash 4 for a few months. But I think Smash can be competitive without replicating the way melee is played at higher levels, which would attract the crowd still playing smash 4 and well as more casual players who just play whatever the most recent game was.Honestly I wanted a new Smash game with more of a competitive focus for a while but at this point I feel like it would just split the Melee community. I'd rather have a definitive, updated version of Melee that doesn't change much except adding minor QoL fixes like dashback polling change to UCF and some of the features from the 20XX hack pack (like visible L-cancel toggle and savestates). All of which will probably never happen.
There will probably be a new thread started for the live stream anyway, no?CormoranStrike ZhugeEX
Since the OP seems to not care about keeping his OP up to date, here are the Direct links:

I assumed so yes, as there usually is, or the thread will grow beyond 200 pages. I have put the links into the OP anyway. There will probably be a new thread started for the live stream anyway, no?
Super weird that the patent for the Switch bongos featured Barrel Blast (which ended up not supporting bongos at all) instead of one of the games that actually did use the bongos.
Tim Curry being incredible, I'd say.
Can you relax? JeezCormoranStrike ZhugeEX

If 3D world is there and Mario tennis is good then I'm happyIn to remind people we're getting 10 minutes of Mario Tennis and another 10 minutes of games ported from the Wii U. And in the remaining 10 there's Detective Pikachu.
No. ): But I would be salty that he got in instead of a new Nintendo character.
Nintendo is running out of it's own characters to add on Smash
