I was planning on going light this month since last month was a busy one, but I already know I'm definitely getting Runbow, Octopath, and Captain Toad. And I'm sure I'll pick up a couple more like Pato Box.

No love for Bomber Crew? Come on guys, this is the closest thing we have to FTL on Switch!

Oh, I missed this in the list. I've been hoping this would turn up in the Humble Monthly for awhile so might not be able to resist it on Switch. Also, part of me would squee so hard if FTL came to Switch. Another part of me would despair however as I know I would get re-obsessed with it again.

I might pick up Code of Princess EX, I need some side scrolling beat 'em up on my Switch.

I'll definitely grab Octopath Traveler at some point, but probably not this month as I currently don't have time to dig into another long game.

Captain Toad looks like fun, so maybe I'll grab that.

In for Octopath and MM X collection. Bought hollow knight yesterday.

I am playing (and buying) way more switch games than I honestly ever thought I would. I love it.

I don't like the art and animation in Wulverblade, but thanks for the suggestion. I like games that visually skew more towards classic arcade graphics of the late 80's through 90's.
Welp I'm just gonna assume you've seen all of those that seem to fall in to that graphical genre including the great Neo Geo ones.

I agree that having a good side scroller you can play with someone is a good thing to have. Shame you couldn't do the artstyle in Wulverblade, it is one of the least heralded but actually really good games in the genre.

I am leery on Code of Princess mainly due to its high price but also because the core game on 3ds was mainly just acceptable.

I posted it in the June thread but I would absolutely kill for Capcom to bring Chronicles of Mystara set to Switch, and also the King of Dragons and Knights of the Round. Hell I'd even be okay with a Final fight collection.

How is Treasure Tracker mid to late game? I enjoyed the demo but $40 is a bit steep for me if it's just more of the same. I was going to get XC2 but I'm holding out to see if these adjustment sliders will be available any time soon. If they are it'll be another $30 on top of the base game.

Bomb Chicken looks insane and Heroki gives me good ol' NiGHTS vibes. I'll definitely keep an eye on these two.
Octopath Traveler, WarioWare Gold and Capitan Todd are the real stars this month, though.

I've been interested in Masters of Anima for a while but still haven't bought it. How's the performance in handheld mode?
On the small screen, MoA runs at a pretty constant 30fps, even during the most frantic boss fights. I did notice minor frame-pacing issues, however.

I fear this game might have sold poorly, since there's close to no buzz around it (on fora or Twitter), zero data on HLTB, nor a single post on GFAQs. A real shame considering its quality (so far).

I dunno, I felt like it was more than worth $40 and I bought it on WiiU.

There is a whole second half of the game and a whole set of challenges too. If you like the basic premise of the demo you will get a lot of good brain bending type how the hell do I pull this off and get everything type challenges.

I'd even argue the game is cheap now at $40. I just want word that the 3d World stages are still in their but have to be unlocked.

I think it is arguably a steal at that price. The latter puzzles get tough but it is unrelentingly charming and cute with delicious art design. If you felt that way when you played the demo then it's a no brainer at that price tbh.

Sounds good to me. The game's charming as hell but the demo levels weren't challenging.

No but they do get tougher, don't worry. I believe there might be a ridiculously tough unlockable level if you 100% the game but I never got there on Wii U. The difficulty does ramp up gradually in the normal game though so no worries there especially as you warmed to the game's charm :).

Hmm haven't seen anything on Sleep Tight til this months thread, looks like it might scratch the twinstick shooter and the tower defense itch at the same time, hope it turns out well.

Every month is stacked at this point though, so many Switch games, even being portable doesn't give enough time.

My girlfriend doesn't play a TON of games, but she absolutely fell in love with Death Road to Canada and has managed to put more than 80 hours into it!

Yes, there's almost zero buzz, even on Reddit. It's sad, the game looks nice. I guess I'll bite, thanks for the info :)

I'm surprised at the lack of reviews/impressions on Bomb Chicken and Wolfenstein II so far, to be honest.

Bomb Chicken hasn't officially released yet (12th July) so it makes sense that there aren't many reviews. There were some early impressions here from people that managed to get it with the wishlist 'trick', but the amount of people that bought it that way is probably pretty small.

Thanks for all the recommendations for Battle Chef Brigade. Downloaded it when it was on sale and thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably a game I never would have played just browsing the eShop. The only thing missing which would have been amazing would be online duels with the ability to customize your own chef.

It's ptobably a 0% chance but I would love if the devs got a bigger budget and made a more robust sequel. I really dig the world and characters.

I really couldn't. I gave it a shot 2, 3 times but my can't stand having to squint to see stuff.

It was disappointing, because it really did seem like my kind of game
Can't blame you, like I said it did the trick for me because portability is a must for huge games like that, but the game looked like such a garbled mess. My sight is perfectly fine, but playing Xenoblade on my 3DS was the first time a game convinced me maybe I needed glasses lol.

Battle Chef Brigade is so lovely. I think there's a free update planned with new content, but I'm not sure what's supposed to include.

I got through about 1/2 of 1 on Pc but I am not sure I can take 3 full games. It was very grueling at times. Maybe I could on switch if we get the discounted three pack at some point.

I only really played it because I got them free via twitch prime.

For anyone in the UK that has never used Zeek you can get £50 ESHOP for £41.50 if you follow this link...

Mods if this isn't allowed then please feel free to delete but just thought other people could share codes as well and everyone save a bit of money. Basically you just need a new account to get the £5 discount on top of the already discounted gift cards.

*Link not allowed so deleted.

Only you can share URLs without references. That one isn't allowed.

I have Chronicles of Mystara on Steam, but yeah a Switch version would be sweet for portability. As would the other games you mention. I have King of Dragons, Knights of the Round and Final Fight on my Vita (The PSP Capcom collections), but I'd happily buy them again. Old arcade classics get little love these days, but I guess the market for those games is quite small.

Crash Trilogy is 30€ on amazon.de right now. Quickly dropped to that price after release. If the same happens to Captain Toad, I'll consider buying it for such a price.

I know this is the eshop thread, but I hope that we can talk about retail too?

Pool Panic, Pocket Rumble and Bomb Chicken looks cool!
By the way, did Nintendo announce any new colors for the Pro Controller at E3?

Has anyone played The Lost Child?
As someone who's played most of the dungeon crawls on the portables but not that one, I think there are few impressions as it's a full price, £50 game in a niche genre that is usually priced much lower. Also, I imagine some of those into Nintendo portables and demon-summoning gridders are still working through the widely praised Strange Journey Redux, that's almost half the price and has had nearly a decade of good word-of-mouth instead, it's massive.

I'm curious about The Lost Child myself but not at that price.

Having as much fun with Runbow on Switch as I did on the Wii U. It's a must-have purchase as far as I'm concerned.

I'm surprised about how much I'm liking fortnite. I had played before on ps4 but somehow it's only clicked with me now on switch.
