I think it would be incredibly shortsighted to think that Sony won't have their own Fortnite bundle for the holiday considering they had onenearkier this year before Nintendo created one. So now you have a $299 PS bundle vs. $299 Switch bundle. The holiday season is going to be brutal this year.
Yep. I was a skeptic, and had anticipated ~18.5m. But at this pricepoint + with big bundled inclusions, Ninty has 20m a lock.
And if it's anything like the PS4 Fortnite bundle, people will be reselling codes to the skin for $30-$60 online.
It technically is, but it has a premium currency called V-Bucks that let you buy appearances in-game. This bundle comes with 1000 of them.
Curious as to what they PS4 bundle sells. I mean all these posts saying how its gonna move heaps, does the PS4 bundle sell a ton, or are we just guessing?

The PS4 Fortnite bundle is in Europe, not in US. Seems this is going to be in US.
PS4 has one but it isn't available globally. It's not sold in the US, for example.
To be fair he asked if this was the first time for a hardware maker. Not first time in the US.
I honestly don't think this bundle will guarantee they hit 20mil. Can happen but still not a lock.
Although the game is free for any Switch owner. The visibility of this on store shelves will move units.
This is still a big deal and the person who posted the image didn't say it was Europe only. That is a big thing to leave out.
This bundle + the pokemon bundle + the smash bundle will guarantee it, though

You are paying regular console price but getting a DL code for extra stuff so you are saving money.

I'm not sure we can talk about "vs" especially. I don't think a lot of people will really hesitate that much. It's gonna be one or the other quite fast.
It probably could happen without, so it'll certainly help.
