No Man's Sky Has Some Kind of Cryptic ARG Happening Right Now

Complete mystery. The previous updates have included a lot of things the community have asked for, and improved the Fight, Survive, and Trade tentpoles. The one that hasn't had much attention is Explore, so many are hoping that exploration improvements will be a big focus of 1.5, including massive changes to the flora and fauna and maybe changes to the procedural generation. But 1.3 had improvements in several areas, so I'd expect the same.
I hope you are right and exploration is their focus in this update. It's the part of the game that I love more. Drastic changes to the procedural technology allowing for more variety in fauna, flora and especially more complexity in landscapes is the number one feature I'm looking forward.

We know that there's going to be a big update. The ARG website now alludes to a 1.5 update and there are some new Atlas Passes being sent around to those who participated in the previous wave.
We don't know what the update is about, but given that 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 (especially the latter) were all sizeable content patches that brought NMS ever closer to the game it should have been, going from 1.3 right to 1.5 means something big is approaching. And unfortunately, that also means a big wait is also in order.

Coming into this thread completely uninformed is like someone handing you 6 pages of computer programming and asking you to translate, lol.
Excited for whatever this turns out to be. Haven't uninstalled this from my PS4 just because of this ARG.

What it seems like is that these are 4 entities trying to control the AI Loop 16/Emily and she is trying to disconnect from them. One of them was the DoD this last one seems to be an in-universe entity.
If you loved it at launch on a standard, I think you'll find the experience pretty enjoyable on PS4 Pro. Just be warned that a lot of the new patches broke a few things for people on their home bases (if you got into that). Otherwise, dive in, it's a completely different experience.
I played a bit a few months ago when the last big update hit so no issues with breaking stuff. I'm gonna jump back in, thanks.
I play on pro and it's great. Near constant 60 FPS at 1080, or 30 FPS at1800p
Reading all the Sea of Thieves reviews have made me want to jump back into this game. I know, it's weird.
