Next gen just got a lot better. Playing TLG even with frames in the mid to low twenties was a beautiful experience and can't imagine all that now at 60 FPS. Why do we europeans have to wait 1 week longer ;_;

Yes, that's part of why this is such an odd situation. Someone just tried it on their Pro at various resolutions, and it's capped at 30.

How are they getting it to run in PS4's 1080p mode then? Setting the PS5 output resolution to 1080p? or is there an option in the main menu?

Did they Patch it later to lock the frame rate? That would explain it then because as most people here say, PS4 Pro version was not unlocked but it weirdly is in this video.

Maybe the mode was unlocked on PS4 Pro the whole time but never could get to a full 30fps due to hardware limitations?

Close to impossible that they would press new discs with a different version. All discs out there should be the same.

Doesn't seem like rock solid framerate and there's seemingly no PS5 specific patch, it's just utulizing the PS4 version's unlocked framerate, but clearly the best way to play the game now. Maybe there's more to it since it's not very clear what the game's performance targets were on PS4 throughout the different versions, but nice all the same

It was included in the PS Plus Collection right? Will likely give it a go in that case :)

it's not patched further than 1.03 which came soon after launch.

If you ran the PS4 Pro at 1080p I seem to remember it running loads better than when it ran at whatever high res it tried to achieve. But DF knew this.

1.00 is 30fps (target) whether you set your PS4 Pro to 1080p or 4K, it makes no difference.

Maybe NXGamer is using the 'favour performance' setting in the PS5 system settings that forces TLG to run at an uncapped framerate?

Nope, because his PS4 Pro version is also unlocked and can reach frames higher than 30 fps.
