It's improved A LOT since.

It's not a terrible game. It's honestly probably the best Oddworld since the original two.
It just doesn't come close to those original two, it doesn't understand what made those games work so well and doesn't seem interested in trying to anyway. Which is kind of upsetting when it's presented as a replacement game for the second one, which was the best one.

I just hope that the port isn't handled by Square1, because the prior Oddworld conversions handled by them weren't exactly anything to write home about.

Batman is a bunch of last last gen games tho. even the UE4 ports were done by Virtuos who's doing Nier Automata

A couple of days ago they also announced a new Asterix & Obelix XXL for this year no one is talking about. I appreciate their output as well, reminds me of the licensed THQ titles from the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era.
