Yeah, probably not a good idea. Just a heads up for people who are confident enough, especially those who were in the alpha. Apparently, XBox version is on sale too but I'm only seeing $55 atm. Anyway, here's their refund policy:
We offer refunds on a discretionary basis, and each refund request is looked at individually. We do our best to provide a refund where possible, but please note that games that have been played or keys that have been redeemed are ineligible for a refund.

Also, I'm not sure if it's part of the holiday sales which will end next week. If not, you can simply wait until trying the open demo in early February.

Yeah, not pre ordering Anthem, especially after the alpha. I'm gonna need some convincing on this one.

If Fallout 76, ME: Andromeda etc can disappoint (sort of in their own ways), preordering seems very risky nowadays :(

It'll be alot cheaper right after the launch anyway ;) Besides, why would you pre-order digital games anyway?

Thanks for the heads up about the sale.
They got the BioShock Collection (all games + DLC) for under 10€, Prey is 7€, Vermintide 2 is 10€, JC4 is 33€

I don't trust any website that's been blacklisted from r/GameDeals. Sorry.

Don't do it, people. This game is not going to be good.

I can't believe people still pre-order games but I'm not that smart to begin with. Just wait folks. Anthem isn't going to be good enough for a pre-order, even at this price.

Yeah, this is most likely one of those sites that buys keys/retail copies in regions where it's super cheap and then resells them for international prices. Developers lose a lot of money.

Dang, I've always thought that cdkeys are legit, but I guess there's a reason why their games are so cheap.

It depends on the game, for some games are at their cheapest before launch and it can be a year or so before it reaches its lowest price again. For others they have a decent preorder discount, but then their price drops to match it or go even lower a few weeks after launch.

Remember, it's ok for companies to outsource work to save money but it's wrong for us to do the same.

Not really. FO76 and ME:A turned out exactly as I expected they would. There's more than enough pre-release data you can use to inform your purchasing choices. I pre-order games all the time and am never disappointed (except for Monster Hunter World, which I pre-ordered in a momentary lapse of judgment despite knowing that I didn't really like that type of game). If you know what you like, it's easy to predict if you'll enjoy a game.

Not pre-ordering this one. The Division 2 is launching close to Anthem and the first one was pretty good, even solo (despite loot, which I don't like, it was the shooting stuff part that was good)

Decent price, but I'll take the wait and see approach.

That's where I'll be spending my money as well. The third-person shooting and cover mechanics are indeed really good. I've since played a number of other games in the genre and none of them felt as good as The Division.

Okay, so 1) nobody here has a clue as to how good or bad Anthem will be (your logic is especially weak if you think that Anthem will be bad because Andromeda was bad), and 2) CD Keys is a legitimate website. Tired of hearing that it's not. I've ordered dozens of games from them and have never had a problem. What I'm not going to do is become involved in some twisty tangly debate in which I'm told that the keys are purchased illegally and that the developer suffers for it. I've NEVER had a game that I purchased from CDKEYS be revoked by Steam, Ubisoft, or EA - so end of discussion.

Deus Ex - Mankind Divided is 4.50 € at cdkeys.com lol.

Was it a shitty port or is there a reason to not play this?

I'm still going to just get a month of Origin Premier for $15. Gets me early access to the best version of the game as well. If I still like it after a month, sure, i'll consider getting it. If not, I saved myself a good chunk of cash.

The release date is not the best. February is my Metro time, not even gonna look at other games, especially Anthem

I use cdkeys all the time for cheap pre-orders.

Like Resident Evil 2 for $41.

Same price on Steam for the holiday sale so they probably just matched it. Similar to the Tomb Raider reboot, it always goes on sale for peanuts. The port is fine.

There were enough positive impressions to tell that the game is going to be good for people who enjoy these type of games.

Yeah, I mean, it's a co-op game. If I can play through something with my brother and friends, I'm just not going to have a bad time with it. At worst it will simply be an okay game.

I don't know where you got your impressions from, but playing the alpha is actually the reason I'm super skeptical about this game.

I would, of course, never break an NDA. But, from what I saw on streams, it seemed pretty damn fun.

Okay? Not sure what your point is. Grey market is not the same as outsourcing work to other companies.

There's nothing dubious about sourcing a product cheaply in one country and selling it for profit in a country/online with higher costs. Cdkeys seems to be doing just that. There's a store chain here that buys brand-name products in countries like Greece and Turkey then sells them cheaper than local RRP. This is perfectly valid.

The closest comparison is actually publishers outsourcing art etc. to low wage countries. This is also perfectly valid.

Video games aren't special snow flakes. Smart consumers will buy as cheaply as possible and cdkeys provides that option.

On those streams I saw and totally not played winkwink, I felt like it was just another "go to that waypoint and kill a few waves of enemies while your robot buddy your radio contact hacks/configures/reads some computer/beacon/terminal thing, rince and repeat". It's pretty, sure, but we already have Destiny, and it took 3 years, 2 games and I don't know how many expansions for Destiny to start appealing to me. I sincerely hope there's more variety in the final game, but I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, I certainly hope there is more variety than what we saw in the alpha. But, there was nothing I didn't like. So, I think at worst it will wind up being mediocre. But, doesn't seem like a dumpster fire or anything. And of course I hope it turns out there is a good variety of shit to do, in which case I think I'll love the game.

Yeah, this is actually my plan for now. After a month, the game might probably be discounted for the first time, and combined with the 1-month premier it'll be $60. If it turns out very bad (hopefully not), there's The Division 2 waiting in March.

I feel like it'll be alot cheaper simply because the ppl i know irl and on social media are all saying they are interested but its EA so they wanna see the first DLC. I thought I was harsh I was just gonna wait like a month or so after it came out to see if it was actually any good but some people waiting to see the DLC lmao

It's still a bit scummy don't you think? If you are fine with giving these resellers a higher cut than to people who made the product then I won't stop you, but I don't support this.
