Celeste is hands down the most satisfying platformer that I've ever played. Sure it's difficult as hell, but the designs of the levels are really well done, and it's addicting to try over and over again. It's hard, but never unfair.

Part of the beauty of Celeste is also that it's as laid back or difficult as you want to make it, by way of which extra objectives you go for or through the help of assists, and irrespective of your approach it's delightful.

Playing both Cyberpunk 2077 and Skyrim on my Steam Deck, and it's interesting to experience the differences simultaneously.

Cyberpunk 2077 has such great story, fantastic characters and dialogs, but gameworld that's so hard to navigate in, with so lacking landmarks and dense enviroments, that I still after almost 40h can barely navigate the city at all without just following the yellow guideline.

Skyrim has barely a single memorable characters, is so dumb written and quests that are so padded with repeated corridors,. But the gameworld is still amazing looking, with so distinct landmarks, and is still a joy to wander around in and explore.

Yup, never tried the assist, but really appreciate that it exists. I also appreciate the fact that the super jump and the corner wall jump that are mandatory in the later levels can be used in the early levels.

I'm gonna redownload the game now lol

A good combination of great landmarks and memorable characters can be found in Elden Ring or Tears of the Kingdom. That being said, CP2077 holds its own as a great, focused narrative you're actually invested in. Skyrim (and the Bethesda formula in genral) is just too outdated at this point.

I saw that Overwatch 2 is having a limited time event where heroes and villains switch, so you have evil Mercy and good Tracer.

Neat.

Sounds decent which is good. Hopefully they can build on this and keep improving in future titles too, cause it sucks when there's no good tennis games around.

Been playing Felvidek over the last couple of days and finished it a little ago. The Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam caught my attention but after finishing, I'd maybe not rate it as highly.

It's a solid enough game but I wasn't particularly taken in by the characters or the narrative. Gameplay wise it's a cool throw back to old school RPGs but did lack some depth to the combat side of things. And there was at times a lot of back and forth and no quest log to keep track of where you should be heading if you play across a couple sessions like I did.

I think it's strongest cards are definitely it's visuals and the soundtrack. Loved the low poly 3D cinematic cutscenes they did and just generally, I loved the visuals as a whole.

Took 4 1/2 hours to complete which was kind of nice to have a short form RPG that can be done in a day or so.

Not sure what to get to play next. Maybe grab Pepper Grinder or something short again.

Advanced Access is in truth just Delayed Access for regular edition buyers.

They need to get rid of that tag altogether it is just pure cynicism.

There's no need to make special rules at all. The game costs more at launch and the price can reduced by the publisher after as many days as they see fit to milk their customers.

Whatever the Fallout TV show does with New Vegas lore, Josh Sawyer doesn’t care: “It was never mine”

Obsidian's Josh Sawyer is proud of the games he's worked on - Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars Of Eternity, Pentiment - but tries not to get too invested on them.

Blessed Josh Sawyer interview here.

I really hope he finds the energy to do another large RPG one day, but if he continues to make smaller games like Pentiment, I'm ok with that also.

It works well. Beautiful and fun game. I've only played past the first boss so far and explored the city. There's some annoyances I hope they work out through the early access period, but overall there's some good bones on this one. Makes my 4070 Ti Super / 5900X sweat a bit...
They caught my eye with the preview on exploration and platforming after the Future Games Show, b/c it reminded me of Darksiders Genesis.

But I'll probably wait until it's out of Early Access and better optimized. Sound like it's something I'd only be able to play on my 4060, and I won't have a lot of access to that rig until late autumn/winter.

The game lacks granular settings, at least it did when I played this weekend. I have not played since the latest patches. But I played on 'Best Quality' / 2560 x 1600 to begin with, which is quite heavy. 'Quality' looks the same to me at a glance (I didn't make comparisons) and runs smoother. It has also 'Balanced' and 'Performance' settings which I have not tried. So it should run on a wider range of hardware. I was initially going to just wait for 1.0, but that amazing art sucked me in to Early Access. I'll play a bit more, but I won't put in a ton of time until the game is finished.

Anyone knowledgable on how to set up reWASD?

I made a thread here asking for help if anyone can, would be really appreciated.

Trying to set up reWASD for use with a Switch Pro pad on Gamepass

Hey all, I recently bought the 7 euro version of this app to use with my Switch Pro pad. If I make a new profile with the settings shown in the images it works, but when I load up the app for my next session it doesn't work and I need to create a new profile with the same settings each time to...

Seeing the Celeste love here made me go back and finish the B sides on the xbox to get the some achievements for the rewards stuff and i was flying since I already did it on PC and Switch but ... damn the very last part of side B for the second world with the blinking platform climb reminded me that I a complete negation on timed platforming xD

Will this be a year when we will see Crysis 4? I kinda want to play Crysis 2 and 3 again (even though C1 offers more freedom i kinda like 2-3 more linear approach more). So full announcement of Crysis 4 would be nice and it would push me to play previous games XD

I completely forgot we were getting a Crysis 4 lol. I had a blast with the remastered trilogy though. They are a very fun 100% achievement challenge.

B-Sides 1/tm 4 done. I'm running up against my limits now. Steam players must be some of the best gamers in the world given high the achievement percentages for this game.

I just checked my Celeste progress on EGS. I got the 175 hearts and it looks like I bailed about 1/3rd into the Farewell chapter, during the Remembered section (#4). And apparently I didn't attempt the B-sides, probably because I hadn't finished the Farewell.

I'd recommend doing the B and C sides before Farewell.

Loving all the Celeste love around here.

I beat it 100% twice with all the achievements, once on Steam and another time on Switch, and was planning to do it again on Game Pass just because it is fucking great.

I really wanna replay Celeste, I definitely beat the main game but stopped at some of the later B-Sides I think. Such a gem of a game, I loved Celeste 64 earlier this year too!

Oh that reminds me, I need to play that too.

Wait, I can't download either Win version of this. Chrome keeps telling me it's a dangerous file and blocking it.
