It's an entirely subjective line, and depends on context usually.

It's probably a lot easier for The Witcher 3 to have a couple of scenes like that since it's not the main focus of the game. The Huniepop stuff is a lot more transparent.

I mean I can totally get it, but then the question is what about visual novels who just have 3-4 sex scenes in 30h "reading", which are still censored?
What about games that dont even have any sex when they arent patched?
What about "loli characters" in fighting games wearing skimpy outfits and be seductive?

But they don't have any sexual content, do they?

Some have some fanservice scenes.

Dumbest thing about this whole situation is that there are no clear rules and Valve are enforcing them willy-nilly.

What's the point of picking games with adult content and drawing some imaginary line? (that's just rhetorical question, I already know the answer - people like to victimize everything instead of solving the real issue) Steam is full of games with violence that can be way more disturbing than some titties - Mortal Kombat X, Doom etc. - and there're absolutely no borders there. I assume that most of the time they don't even know what is released on Steam because of almost completely absent curation.

Also why now? Huniepop is already censored, has been on store for few years already and it's even got age check before allowing you to enter store page.

Comparing Witcher and Huniepop and the other games is like comparing Boogie Nights with, well, the movies the characters in Boogie Nights are making.

Are there good source ports for the Redneck Rampage games or is it like with Blood where the source code was never released?

They are on sale right now and I've never played them :-o

Such a fucking shame Valve has the monopoly on PC Gaming.
For everything good they do, they do stupid shit like this that doesn't make sense in the slightest because they just don't care.

Just bought Dead Island definitive edition x2 (code for my girlfriend too) on humble store for £3 each. One of my favourite bad games on the Xbox 360. Will probably dive into it properly after I finish up some other games.

This sudden change of Valve politics regarding these games is strange, maybe some outside group lobbying for them to stop selling these games? Just my worthless opinion, but they should at least explain why the sudden changes. Is there any guide in the Steam documentation about what is and what is not allowed in the store?

Keep in mind I'm not defending these games they don't interest me at all and I just avoid them, though I haven't had any of them appearing in my discovery queue for quite some time.

Someone get pornhub into PC gaming and the problem will eventually solve itself.

Valve was actually put under the lens of scrutiny by the Republican Christian group National Center on Sexual Exploitation

National Center on Sexual Exploitation has been around for more than 50 years, being anti-porn, and anti-sexual exploitation. They were originally against brick and mortar pornographic establishments, but since the 1990s they've been slowly transitioning their efforts to censor internet porn. They aggressively lobbied Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney to make anti-obscenity a leading issue for the cabinet's platform after receiving strong support from the GOP

USA, can you stop your puritan fake Christians and your GOP from screwing the entire world?
That'd be nice.

Megaton.
(At least they contacted the dev this time, and not just removed the game like they did with Kiss for Petals)
(Valve themselves nominated Huniepop for Steam Awards last year)

I would say this is Valve being Valve again by addressing non-issues while ignoring real problems. However its probably a combination of religious groups, States threating legal action and Paypal putting pressure on Valve to censor. Its going to weird that I can't buy games with anime boobies but I will be able to buy games like [banned game] that feature alt-right mass murder.

We can't get them to stop screwing US.

I own some of these games from humble bundles but never activated them. Can you still activate the keys after the games have been removed from the store?

Evil Valve won't even let me play World of Warcraft without installing Steam. Someone should start selling it on Battle.Net or something so Gabe doesn't get my money.

Can't wait! 2 weeks only left.

Awesome! Already preordered it, so as soon as it's out I'm playing the shit out of it.

Valve themselves may be fine with sexual content, but they are also subject to the state law in Washington and the target of at least one lobby organization. From an older article regarding the removal of adult patches from Steam forums/store pages:

https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2017/...s-steam-due-state-laws-says-mangagamer/43308/

The same lobby organization mentioned in this article is currently running a campaign in response to Valve releasing the new streaming app, and may be the cause of the current actions taken by Valve:
https://endsexualexploitation.org/a...app-makes-easier-access-exploitative-content/
lemme see who writes this

"Brynne Townley is a junior at Brigham Young University..."

oh

well this makes a lot more sense now

Maybe, there are some games that give "Valve no longer has a business agreement with the publisher and no longer can activate this key" I only saw it with those trash free games that got banned awhile ago.

Huh, never heard about it but those are really extreme cases. In 99.99% of cases though he should activate them without any issues. I have multiple game that I activated long after they've been delisted.

yes that doesnt look like a child at all... jesus christ.
She doesn't look like a child to me. Heck, I could post a photo of a 18 years old real life girl and I could asure you you wouldn't be able to tell if she's 15 or 24.
Also, Estelle is 16.

She looks like 20 to me?
You guys know weird childs.

Anime is full of young girls looking mature and viceversa. Look at Yoko from Gurren Lagann, she's fucking 15.
Even Umineko, Shannon is 16 while Jessica is 18. Tell me there's actual difference between them. If any, I'd have said Shannon was older.

I really want to buy it, but it costs more than most of AAA games in my region, even a goddamn Ubisoft have better prices. And there is no retail keys except ROW, so i can't get it from my russian retailers either. This was an issue with this publisher for a long time, but Vampyr is the first their game that i really want to play, ugh!

Have you seen Nia's...
alternate form?

That's the very prime example of sexualization. And she's pretty much child-like.
I haven't played yet, so I'm not opening that spoiler.
I opened it anyways. Not that big of a spoiler, but no, I haven't seen that (and I'm not going to until I play). That sucks, I'm really mad at skimpy clothes just for the sake of it.
