the Preorders for it went live straight after the Pokemon Presents (10pm JST - 18th August)
On the eShop yeah, but they're live on the eShop now for SV
In store they went live August 19th
Haven't really caught up with all the replies, but it seems we're getting a trailer this week? (Or am I wrong)
People believe we are as we typically get one in the week before physical pre-orders open in Japan, and those open on Thursday
A direct with an expanded trailer, a longer deep dive look into Scarlet and Violet would be neat
Should we get it, I just know we'll have people saying they're "wasting time" on the non SV things, as if they went in saying the Presents would be X minutes long and then had to fill that time rather than compile multtiple things together and then get that run time
A Direct would probalby go more in depth on Scarlet and Violet then a trailer i imagine so i am all in favour of it
The Direct was always going to be 174 minutes. Unfortunately, Nintendo HATES us and cut over 155 minutes of content.
It's just such a weird mindset. People don't realise that if Nintendo/TPC removed Project #3 from their Direct, it wouldn't give 3 minutes more for Main Project A, but rather it means the Direct would be 3 minutes shorter

This year we won't have a new spin-off so next spring probably we could see a new Mistery dungeon (too early for Snap and pokken is dead :( ).
I think a Presents would make sense for the next info drop. There is a lot of stuff that I feel like would work better if shown more in-depth.

Which would be kind of fun considering we haven't heard anything about it in the leaks.
My prediction is that we'll get:
- Crystal gimmick full reveal
- Riding Pokemon reveal, with gameplay footage of world traversal
- Koraidon and Miraidon official type reveals
- Rival reveal
- 1-2 Gym Leaders
- 3-5 new Pokemon

Yeah, this is what I'm expecting too. Plus a tease for the future/past forms, but no official reveal.

I feel like the region name and map are all but guaranteed.
Sounds about right. I'd add in the region name + map, maybe a regional form reveal too alongside the newly revealed region name (even though we know there aren't many of them if the leaks are to be believed).

Not sure why they've already repeated part of what the Marketing for Pokémon Legends: Arceus did though.
Especially for new proper dual-version mainline games too to boot.
Doesn't help that for the longest time it caused Khu to try and take the attention for himself.
And that it took a leaker like Kaka for us to get any info on the games during a month like July we thought was going to get something marketing-wise either.
Although oddly enough I can kinda feel thankful that Kaka at least tried to get us through that July drought.
Helped prepare us for the Presents that's now been announced for Wednesday.

No way we get an actual demo. It'll be some actual information though, and I'll gladly take that.
Oh, for whatever reason I thought Battle Bond Greninja was released in Gen 6.
It would be neat to get one, but I seriously doubt we'll ever see another demo for a Pokemon game lol
They'll roll a trailer then breakdown its content while detailing specific mechanics/characters/Pokémon. See: the SwSh and PLA presentations. It'll be more than just a trailer. Probably take up at least half of that 20 minute run time unless they have some other major project to announce.
