Exactly like Go's would be bad but they could make a good battle system based on it. And there's no reason they couldn't have an option for playing turn based instead. Options are good.

Some of Chibi Robo's cosplays are a little more conceptual than literal, there are vigorous debates about whether this is Snorlax, Slakoth, or Komala and he has never clarified it himself
