The very first Oculus Rift dev kit actually had this screen res. It was kind of terrible in retrospect, but sufficient as a proof of concept. It's probably an internal thing. The screen is too low res for proper VR.

VR is just another gimmick.
It would not affect me for it being on the Switch but I don't want it either.

This confirms it, because Nintendo loves to add gimmicks to their hardware.VR is just another gimmick.

I can see this being a thing.
It would be the lowest end of VR... But is not unplayable. I've played some games and watched adult videos using a headset that uses my mobile and is pretty passable. A headset for a standdarised screen-mobile like Samsung Gear VR would be the perfect fir for Switch.
Probably because it doesn't.The Switch can't do 1080p on most games, how can it possibly have enough power for a VR headset?
They should make a Warioware VR game where you have to do things like shake your head left and right or up and down as fast as possible or spin around in circles.
Such a shitty take that refuses to die off. Guessing you've never experienced actual 6DOF VR.VR is just another gimmick.

Won't be the first time a Nintendo System does that.Well sounds like a great way to give yourself a head ache if nothing else.
This makes no sense. It isn't a gimmick when done properly. Room scale VR feels like the future.
To be fair, it can be both.
Imagine not knowing what gimmick means.
Again, it seems you guys have an issue with the word. And yes, I've tried VR and I was not impressed, it was derivative to me instead of revolutionary. Different perspectives I guess.Such a shitty take that refuses to die off. Guessing you've never experienced actual 6DOF VR.
Nintendo Labo: Cardboard kit.How exactly... would a switch function for VR? A giant HMD that you slot it in?

Are you trying to tell me you weren't trying to use the word "gimmick" as a negative in that post right before saying "I don't want it"? lol cmon.Gimmick is not a negative word, but I've seen gamers offended by it somehow.
