It is incredibly inappropriate to compare Mitch McConnell to a turtle.

Am I the only person that thinks this is a waste of time and effort? Politicians only care about one thing and that's elections. The rest is meaningless noise to them because it doesn't change their bottom line.
He's more like a jellyfish. But not a cool jellyfish that stings people. More like one of those stupid jellyfish that just winds up on beaches and gets poked with a stick.

We don't care what he thinks of it. We care that he knows it isn't just business as usual. We don't accept him or his party or this administration.
Just because the people doing the "confronting" are posting videos online to show what an awesome job they did doesn't mean politicians aren't used to hecklers. I recall reading a story about how Reagan's motorcade was pelted multiple times by tomatoes during the early 80s recession.
It's a total and complete waste of time and only serves to inflate the egos of the people doing it so they can delude themselves into thinking they're accomplishing something.

These private protests seem like a new thing, considering the White House and republican news media are commenting on it. And they are useful because they force GOP officials to face the protests first hand. McConnell doesn't give a shit about public opinion as long as it's easily ignorable and doesn't affect him personally, but now he doesn't get that luxury anymore.
We don't need them to care. We need them gone. We need everyone else to know how unwanted they are.
I only wished they had pelted him with rotten fruit and eggs, but didn't have enough advance notice.

Separating families is going to be the 'legacy' of the Trump admin. If legacy is what you call it. This will be the lasting memory and everyone that defends and enables him to do so is stained with that same 'legacy'.

This way off because a) this is the kind of thing that always precedes important changes, and b) politicians absolutely care about their own comfort and convenience.
Sharing videos such as these may encourage others to protest, march, and by association vote. It also removes the taboo of confronting politicians on a personal level. Unless you think all protesting is a waste of time, and I wouldn't be surprised if you did despite being wrong according to past movements, then it has some value.
Hypothetically, if this were to become extremely frequent, it would presumably make their lives a lot less comfortable. That's a plus in my book because I doubt every political figure is able to shrug off that kind of pressure.

Most definitely not a waste. Not the only thing people should be doing either, which you seem to think that's all being done. Put pressure on as many fronts as possible, and increase the pressure over time in response to things that are going on. Cracks will start appearing, or the pressure will continue to mount until it does.

He's a 76 year old man. He's going to be in the dirt probably in the next 10 years.
He'll go somewhere in eastern KY tomorrow and say God, Guns, and Coal Jobs and be cheered for it.
