Glad PS5 external Cold Storage is coming in a future update, hopefully it arrives by early next year.

Also no web browser means PlayStation about to lose the Pornhub crown and no way for people to try and run Xcloud on their PS5s in the future.

Hm, so the only worry with buying ps4 versions that upgrade to ps5 is that you're granted a digital download of a full ps5 game (not a patch?) and it may also be limited time only on a per game basis. I suppose if you want longevity and peace of mind then buying the ps5 disc copy is the way to go but if you don't plan on holding onto your library for a long time then the ps4 copy is fine.

Similar to PS4, PS5 games can offer a feature called "Preferred Install" that allows players to choose which part of a game to install first. This can allow a player to prioritize access to a particular mode or feature. An example could be prioritizing the installation of the single-player or multiplayer component of a game.
I didn't know PS4 has this feature (or maybe I forgot about it?). Did they use it just for a few games?

No themes, no folders and that battery life worries me... It all seems a step backward.

Oh good. What a weird omission to not have it listed initially when they were listing Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA which are strictly for movies. Glad that's supported so now we just need Dolby Vision.

Apologies if old news, but they updated the FAQ:

Does PS5 support VRR?
PS5 hardware supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) through HDMI 2.1. After a future system software update, PS5 owners will be able to use the VRR feature of compatible TVs when playing games that support VRR.

Sorry if already asked, people say the PS5 is quiet, but so was the PS4 at launch and with so many things I've had recent, they've been making it harder and harder to actually clean the fan and simple maintenance without having to dismantle or potentially break the thing to clean it. the PS4 was really bad for this.

Is the PS5 easy to clean and easy to clean the fan and air vents?

Yes you just take the top panel off. Then there's dust traps you can vacuum.

The fan is secured with a screw but is fully removable.
