Tencent has to have the most diverse portfolio ever, they own a little peice of everything. Just enough to get a logo in every time.

Not their biggest fan but i do enjoy remedy a lot so hopefully this helps them keep the lights on longer. Still cant belive Remedy was never picked up by a Sony or MS or Embracer

Depending on how the Crossfire X story they're doing goes I could see someone having that conversation. it has been a while since they put out anything close to what Alan Wake was. And I will die on this hill, but Control is not even close to on par with Alan Wake.

You're not wrong.
Alan Wake is Remedy's best game.

Tencent is pretty hands off when they own so little.
This was purely business.

Remedy already has "free" deals with Epic so im sure lest Tencent buys alot more this wont do shit for Remedy other than having a new stakeholder to email every quarter.

In this case, it looks like Tencent bought the shares from one of Remedy's existing shareholders, rather than anything that can be described as 'an investment'. Still, the Remedy executive board will probably interpret this as a vote of confidence on the company given that Tencent wanted to buy in.

Que all the reactions about Remedy now being controlled by China or Tencent. Makes sense Tencent would be interested in them though, considering they work on CrossFire X.

Tencent getting every finger and toe into different game companies. They need to start growing extra limbs.
