This is the person that made my banner everyone. I've known him for years.Hey, I'm new here, I'd like to be added in the replacement list, specifically in the heroes vs. villains game.
You got it! Can I just have you fill this out:Hey, I'm new here, I'd like to be added in the replacement list, specifically in the heroes vs. villains game.

Yeah I figured. I have a topic I want to whine about but figured it'd make more sense to wait for that.Yes, though it's gonna be a bit before that happens. Mid Season did just start.
Got you!

Done!
It's nothing huge - just doesn't seem like we should allow people to use activity from outside of the thread as a defense when you can't use it as an attack. Especially since sometimes it's used simultaneously while scolding the other player for questioning their activity level due to said rule.
Here I thought you wouldn't realize I was talking about you if I didn't name names. Nothing gets past the great Sorian, ace detective.

"I'm only less active because I've been playing Bingo all night with grandma. But how dare you bring up my activity level! There's rules against that!" - Fictional Person
It's seems especially wrong since often times the person pointing out that a player's activity level has changed is in no way referencing anything outside of the thread. Why should the player being accused get to reference activity outside of the thread then as a defense? Would rather see them spend their time posting about other topics than posting about activity outside of the thread that no one else can even respond to in a meaningful way. If a player does feel like they're being accused in a manner that they truly feel breaks the rule then take it to the gamerunner to enforce. I think I brought this up after my first game due to a kerfuffle related to it and was told it's sort of run off the honor code. But honestly do any of us think this quasi-loophole hasn't been abused before?
At the same time I get that it can be useful to let people know you won't be around for awhile due to this or that. I don't know what, if anything, should be changed. Just figured it was worth mentioning. I might be the only one that it bothers for that matter and seeing as I typically don't play my opinion isn't too pertinent.
I understand where you're coming from Natiko, I really do. After all:Would rather see them spend their time posting about other topics than posting about activity outside of the thread that no one else can even respond to in a meaningful way.
8. Treat this game as a commitment. Remember that other players' fun is dependent on your participation; this game only works if you remain reasonably active.
9. If you do not post in this thread at least ten posts per Day Phase period without prior permission, you will be sent a warning via PM. If you fail to meet the ten posts per Day Phase minimum again after receiving a warning you will be Replaced and removed from the game.
Yeah, I agree with Splinter TearablePuns . I'm not saying stuff won't happen and that's why I even mentioned I know it does and am not sure what, if anything, should be done about it. I also wasn't singling anyone out with it - I just know while spectating the last season or so I've seen it referenced excessively at times. Maybe it really just does come down to trying to get players to realize to not lean on it too much. If something came up you can say so but no need to repeatedly use it as a defense. You're fine Tearable, IRL does happen.
Just want to clarify I'm not criticising people for being busy. I'm talking about how you communicate that to the thread and being mindful of its impact on the game.
ReplacedOh nice, I'm going to be out for seven weeks too taking some submariner classes
I'll also be on a train on my way there.

I mean technically it's not. XDDon't lie. You were throwing shade at Dr. Monkey and her board game night. Gloomhaven, that doesn't even sound real!
I think it's more when it's repeatedly referenced by the player despite no one countering their IRL excuse. Saying it once is fine, half a dozen times just feels like cheaply shutting down conversations.
Lmao
I only really mention real life stuff if it's a significant part of a day phase.
Like if people giving me shit for being away for like half a day then fuck em. That's some fuddy reasoning.
