It will be 60FPS on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, I'm sure it'll be 60FPS on PC as well https://www.vg247.com/2018/06/19/resident-evil-2-remake-4k-30fps-and-60fps-modes/
They've made so many good design decisions that I had never considered when they announced that this game was in development. It's shocking.Yeah, it's a nice transition animation though because it fits the context of this game. Usually when you're quickly pulling back, it would be from a startled state/reaction.
I need this game like right now, it is amazing how good (modern) it looks yet it still strikes the exact nostalgic vibes of the original.
4k footage too? Wow, thanks Capcom. I think I've watched every video released of this so far and I just want more. It's really giving me a feeling I haven't had for RE since RE4.
Heads-up, I think the stream Capcom TV did today confirmed Extreme Battle Mode.
There was a new song from REmake 2 playing in the background of them talking in the stream. This was the clearest time stamp I could find where you can hear it (2 hours 6 minutes and 40 seconds in):
I recognized it but couldn't place on where I'd heard it before, so I quickly went through all of RE2's music and I think I found it.
It's a bit hard to hear, but I think it's a new take on the Extreme Battle Mode music from RE2:
So if I'm hearing it right, I think it might confirm Extreme Battle Mode is in. There's a few songs for Extreme Battle Mode, but all of them use a few similar sounds to each other not used in the rest of RE2, and the song from the stream is using those same sounds (the drums, both the bigger and more military ones, this one low horn thing, and a few other touches), so I'm pretty certain even if not the exact song it's an Extreme Battle Mode song.
The person and/or group of people who came up with the idea of the camera violently pulling in when you get bit by a zombie deserve a raise, systemic jump scares for people who aren't extra careful:

Systemic jump scares? Oh boy!The person and/or group of people who came up with the idea of the camera violently pulling in when you get bit by a zombie deserve a raise, systemic jump scares for people who aren't extra careful:
So question: is leon immune to being turned into a zombie? i always get confused when the characters get bitten but are always okay. or do you need to get bit a certain amount of times before you turn?
Canonically Leon, Claire, Chris etc. never get bit or hurt outside of cutscenes, (and funnily enough survive nearly everything with nothing more than a pistol). IIRC Jill gets briefly infected in RE3 after getting attacked by nemesis in a cutscene. So question: is leon immune to being turned into a zombie? i always get confused when the characters get bitten but are always okay. or do you need to get bit a certain amount of times before you turn?

No one is immune. It is just a gameplay mechanic. Wouldn't be very fun if it's a one hit you're dead kind of thing unless you're playing a Hell or Hell mode like in the Devil May Cry games. So question: is leon immune to being turned into a zombie? i always get confused when the characters get bitten but are always okay. or do you need to get bit a certain amount of times before you turn?
Yeah, that was a neat detail. Young Leon having to psych himself up.I like it that Leon talks during gameplay, it makes me a feel a tiny bit less scared.
Video game stuff. Canonically none of the RE protagonists ever got bit.So question: is leon immune to being turned into a zombie? i always get confused when the characters get bitten but are always okay. or do you need to get bit a certain amount of times before you turn?
Well the description does say "We've got fresh video for you to sink your teeth into." so yeah this is the first time we've gotten direct footage from Capcom for this demo.

It's a day 1 purchase for me and I'm excited about it, but it surprises me a little when people say this is the most exiting/game they've always wanted/looks so new/etc.
is it just the modern gfx?
Other than looking great it's not really offering any significant innovations
As played out as it sounds, you will get used to them. The starting sections are always difficult, but once you get to the first save room and start venturing out on mini-adventures, you start to gain control and the game comes alive.Nah, Tank Controls are still annoying as fuck. Having to fight against the controls of the game your playing is never an enjoyable experience.
He's one of the hottest video game characters ever. Wtf. The Zombie body damage is so impressiveLeon looks reeeaaallly stupid, but the game looks fucking amazing. So glad they went this route than the lame ass static camera route.
Not sure if anyone knows, but say if you stun a zombie by shooting them in the head or leg, will we then be able to perform a contextual punch, kick, push or stomp to conserve ammunition?
The face tech is usually the most impressive I've seen in a game. This GAME. GOAT incomingThe person and/or group of people who came up with the idea of the camera violently pulling in when you get bit by a zombie deserve a raise, systemic jump scares for people who aren't extra careful:

Cool, appreciate the feedback.Looking from all gameplay demo no. The game is not designed to be heavily combat like RE4-6. This game is basically REmake using over shoulder camera.
You can turn the lights on if you find the lights switch.
