I'd say you're solidly in the middle.Question: Just got the 4 chess plugs and about to use them on the door panel (at the sewage area), how far am I into the game?

The experience of you and your friends don't cover the entire audience. Head into dedicated RE forums and threads to see a community that houses many different opinions and people, such as myself, that didn't bother to buy 6 and wouldn't have touched 7 if it continued down that path.
As to how much each type of fan contributed to sales / non-sales, that's up for debate, but using anecdotal evidence isn't going to get you an accurate answer.
It sold really well and it reached 5 million copies sold quicker than RE6 did. Comparing its current sales to current RE5&6 won't provide any useful information.
- January 2019 - RE2makeReading some of the discussion on RE8 and I get the gut feeling it is a first-person game which I'd be perfectly happy with. It just would seem to make sense that with RE2make using an over the shoulder camera and releasing 2019 that the team who worked on RE7 wouldn't throw all the experience they gained on RE7 out the window so soon. My suspicion would be RE releases might look something like:
Remake 2: 2019
Resident Evil 8 (First-person): 2020
Resident Evil (subseries - OTS): 2021
Resident Evil 9: 2022/23
I think RE9 is the entry that will be up for debate at any rate, it all depends what the Remake 2 team move onto after release in January but they have certainly set a high bar for their next project. I think a lot of people are looking forward to RE2make.

^ The difference is RE2R Claire is very pretty (the biggest criticism is that her face is once again completely different from previous games) whereas Chris's looks had been pretty consistent for over a decade and then was hit with the ugly stick in RE7.
My only complaint with REmake 2 Claire is she's wearing glitter lipstick, or the specular highlights on her lips make it look like she is. It's a bit much.
But... her lips are the only thing wet.Eh it makes sense she'd have wet lips, between the rain and being in the sewer.

Looking more like regular people instead of supermodels is kinda the point to be fair. I could absolutely not be more in love with Leon's new look and voice. It kind of depends on the angle, to be fair.
What he looks like vs. what he could and should have looked like. His new face model is definitely a downgrade, even if it's not "ugly as sin" or anything. He went from being a hunk to looking like a random average looking guy.
At least, despite the different face model (and maybe different hair colour, somewhat), you can tell that's Claire. Chris just looks like some random ass dude. Nobody even had a reaction to him in RE7 until he said "I'm Redfield".
Are you sure. It's been dragging and need Gold Edition to go pass 5M while 5 and 6 doesn't need that. I mean 5 went all the way to 10M with everything combine. That is like double... Don't get me wrong, I don't mind RE7, but I don't really think it set the world on fire in terms of sale. First 3 months was like 3.5 million?
Lots of lipstick can be used with a gloss on top. It really depends on the lipstick and the look one is going for. that's not glitter. My only complaint with REmake 2 Claire is she's wearing glitter lipstick, or the specular highlights on her lips make it look like she is. It's a bit much.
RE6 reached 5M after 6 months , Without PC or Digital , RE7 reached 5M after a year with Digital , PC and a Gold Edition
I bought a copy of OG Resident Evil 2 for PS1 last night :) I actually had it on Gamecube but.... I just wanted that PS1 nostalgia on the correct platform. The ports never really shed that low poly PS1 feel so it might as well be on the original platform for purity.
Still a great game. Amazing atmosphere. Definitely aged even more since the last time I played it about a decade ago. Needs a remake to realize the feel of that world again.

Honestly, i have zero issues with claire's makeup, it's pretty much what i do going out for a day without being overly fancy. Eyes, eyebrows lips, no foundation/skin stuff.
I agree!Definitely better in its native resolution, the upscaled backgrounds looked washed out on PC, DC and GC.

It should also be mentioned Claire went into Raccoon City thinking she was going to go to the police station and ask around if her brother had been around, so was expecting to meet and talk to people. She obviously wasn't expecting the zombie apocalypse.
Leon looks relatively average.Yeah, but... new Leon is handsome af. Chris didn't look like a supermodel either, but he was certainly attractive. Ironically, all of the new faces come from model agencies...
Average relative to the porcelain perfection that came before:

Yea, they were like dolls, they lack imperfections and have perfect proportions. No one likes that image. It's not representative of the in-game models at all.
And those character models are like dolls. They don't look like real people, not even super models. They straight up.look like what they are; CGI characters,
At least RE2 Claire looks in the ballpark of Claire,
No it's from Claire A. Claire meets Irons and the mayor's daughter is dead on his desk.
Zapping System now replaced with Boarding System-Window boards have a big impact later on (unclear if it effects the other campaign or not)
But, Leon is the prettiest looking REngine model/character yet, and im counting nero.Looking more like regular people instead of supermodels is kinda the point to be fair. I could absolutely not be more in love with Leon's new look and voice.
So, at one point I was talking to the director and I was like… 'Hey, what's going on here?! There's tons of zombies coming through here.' He actually laughed at me. [laughs] He said, 'You should've been careful, you should've gone this route, you should've boarded windows up…' So yeah, things you do earlier like with the windows does have a heavy impact on what you might encounter later on.
...............What the hell I just learned that RE Engine means Reach for the Moon Engine and not Resident Evil Engine
