Yeah, they said it when they launched the kickstarter. There are references to this world/game in The Messenger already.
Yes. It's on multiple parts of their Kickstarter page.
I forgot to include the word "RPG" in title to avoid making it sound like it's the same genre as The Messenger, but yeah, same universe! :P

Yeah, seems to be based around the underwater civilization and related lore found in The Messenger.
Finished it on Switch when it first released, then a second time on Xbox Game Pass for PC and now, I can't wait to play on my favorite platform! And it seems like it has a separate achievement list.
So excited for this.
