The machines used in Yakuza 4 and 5 though, aren't made up stuff, but rather real machines. So there's always a licensing issue that could be a problem. Though I can't imagine that the VF4 machine would have that many licensing issues seeing as the IP itself (Virtua Fighter) is Sega's.Pachinko is a type of gambling machine that doesn't require a license to depict.
Doubtful, sounds more like a fuck up in the port that was never fixed. I remember issues with arcade games having issues at launch on PC (and maybe Xbox) but were since fixed with a patch. So hopefully that'll be fixed (though quite why its taking so long is another question entirely).Huh, interesting. Virtually all the negative reviews mention that installing the DLC either outright breaks the game or that the machines are inoperable. Maybe Sega removed them wholesale from the remasters as a precaution? Regardless, the situation needs some clarity.
Ah, that makes more sense. If they're licensed machines, they might have very well just expired. The machines used in Yakuza 4 and 5 though, aren't made up stuff, but rather real machines. I'd guess its this, but if its still in the Xbox version I doubt it - because it seems odd that one platform is ok while the other isn't. Or maybe the licensing agreement is just messed up (not the first time that a Yakuza game would have restrictive licensing!)Ah, that makes more sense. It doesn't make sense to have Pachi on all platforms but PC, if you are releasing a game on all platforms you won't waste time licensing stuff on single cases scenarios.I'd guess its this, but if its still in the Xbox version I doubt it - because it seems odd that one platform is ok while the other isn't. Someone theorised it may have something to do with regional restrictions on gambling ( I guess slots as casino style games are not affected), but I am not aware of any PS4 version that is missing them.So this is stuff that is available in the PS4 remastered versions that is not available in the PC versions?
God dammit.
I had thought this too but I think one or two may be machines of Sega IPs like VF. I would presume Sammy would've made the machines too unless it is a situation where they license the pachinko hardware and put whatever software on it.As far as I'm aware, all of the pachinko machines in the Yakuza games are literally licensed translations of actual pachinko machines. It's possible that the license for those machines expired between the development of the PS4 remasters and the delayed PC ports.
Ps4 and One has the pachinko machines, they are only missing on the PC version. So this is stuff that is available in the PS4 remastered versions that is not available in the PC versions?

They've onlu just got QLOC to fix the CPU/load time issues with the ports. That means they still gotta fix all the dodge related issues, and then they can continue ignoring the Pachinko! ... ;(
