I did not notice that lol. Maybe they want to avoid some sensitive topic because of the shoe? I have no idea what that would even be.Excited for Cherub and his orbital God laser.
Does China have laws against feet too?

To me, the uncensored art just looks wrong. I don't get why the shade just cuts off randomly, it being perfectly vertical makes me think something went wrong when the art was being exported.I did not notice that lol. Today's demon is Divine Cherub! This design has only ever appeared in one game: Devil Summoner. This marks it's first 3D appearance and second appearance at all in the entire franchise. I absolutely love this one, and they really nailed the animations. It has a little eye that moves on the side, one of the mouths shoot projectiles at you when you encounter it in the field. That unique skill looks sick. Again, current day Atlus modeling an animations are incredible. I remember when I got one of the Kazuma Kaneko Works books that covered Devil Summoner, I saw this thing in there and always wanted it to come back. Looks like I got that wish!
Cherub has had a few other designs in the franchise, but none of them were ever in a 3D game, including even NINE and Dx2.
This design is from SMTI:
They only show up as statues in SMTII, but they had a different design:
One some of you may have seen before was the Soul Hackers version, this version was also used in Strange Journey and both IV games to name a few:
There were a few other designs used in Megami Tensei II, Last Bible III, DemiKids, and Devil Children.
Tomorrow's demon is UMA Hare of Inaba! I didn't realize the UMA race would be in. That stands for "Unidentified Mysterious Animal". I don't know if any current demons in the game will be filed under that, but one could dream...
I did not know they're doing DLC on these videos, that's cool, but they seem to be separate from the regular days.
Deity Dagda has only had this design in two games: SMTIV: Apocalypse, where he had a pretty central role, and of course SMTV: Vengeance.
He has had other designs in games such as the Persona 2 duology and DemiKids.
He did not appear in the base game at all. Danu, his mother, appeared in SMTV though. She wasn't even DLC, but people did find an unfinished Dagda model in the game's files. I assume that eventually became this.
He better have voice lines in the english dub so I can hear that Irish accent again
It's a less than 1% chance but I hope my toilet goddess makes it. That model in HD be glorioussss
With all those extremities, could be Anansi?Interesting, I'm not entirely sure if this is a Native American or Hindu -based demon. Any guesses on who it is?
I know there's one unknown and it's that mole/groundhog thing. No idea what that one is.
That's possible, with those black and white arm things that would make eight limbs.
While often depicted as an animal, Anansi has many representations, which include an anthropomorphic spider with a human face, or conversely, a human with spider-like features, such as eight legs.

Looks like they are adding a new difficulty into vengeance called Godborn. Wonder if it'll be like Merciless in P5R, but actually difficult throughout the game
hard was so well balanced in SMTV that I don't feel the need of another difficulty level, but good for everyone else
I think so, the game gives you plenty of tools to work with, and you're going to have even more in this expanded version. It can be frustrating at times, but SMT main has always been really good at creating battle system where the player and the enemy have the same set of moves and actions.Don't own a Switch so was never able to jump on the original release. I really enjoy difficulties that make you really use the systems at your disposal. I've played plenty of Nocturne - will hard be doable for a first run for someone who can use their head?

The Imagine model is a higher fidelity version of the Nine one:It also supposedly appeared in NINE, but I can't find any images of it. I assume it used the SMTI design, and if that's the case, then it's first 3D appearance (outside of Dx2) with it's current design was Soul Hackers 2! It was great to see it there, and I'm glad to see it still shines under SMTV's shader and art style. This design's first appearance was Soul Hackers.
Not technically SMT, but Persona 2 and 3 have that. P2 is mostly just and Persona, but the type of spell is what matters. P3/FES/P3P have the fusion attacks where you have to have the right combination of Personas in your stock for it and you can use it. P3R kept some of this, but as Theurgy and the Personas just have to be in your Compendium. That's cool, I love when games do special team-up abilities. Has a SMT game ever done that before?
Oh man I am surprised there's a site like that for NINE too. I'm actually surprised they reused any models from NINE even in IMAGINE. If you compare the difference between the NINE and Nocturne models on some demons, the difference is very noticeable. The Imagine model is a higher fidelity version of the Nine one:
From a SMT Nine wiki (if you ever want to look up any other demons):
妖獣フェンリルの専用プラグイン | 真女神転生NINE
真・女神転生 NINEの悪魔『妖獣フェンリル』の専用プラグインです。容量、変更スキル、パラメータ変動、属性相性強化、ナビ時の特殊効果を確認できます。ore-game.com
In general, the only good way to find models from older maligned games (like Ronde and this) is via these sorts of impressive projects. I think I linked the Ronde one during the original run of demon videos.
Yeah, iunno what dictated which game used what. Like Sarasvati, the Nine model is the only version of her SMT 2 design in 3D, as Nocturne has the modern one that appears in it, Imagine, P3/4/5, etc.Not technically SMT, but Persona 2 and 3 have that.
