I'm actually having a bit of trouble imagining an interesting mementos stage, the station platform is the only vaguely interesting visual I can think of.

And I'm pretty sure IDs on 2ch is pretty much based on IPs, which means the two posts are from different person.
For all we know, they gave him 5 characters, and he just had to say "yeah" or "no" for each one. It's possible he said yeah to each 5, and Nintendo didn't had to give him another option.
April is even further away, which is when Joker will be released.
Erdrick is going to be so hype, I hope we get an amazing trailer for basically the most important newcomer that Japan will ever get.

The main reason I wanted the palace was that song (and the pretty lights), but if I can just get the song, I'll be OK.
"The Days When My Mother Was There" would be great too. It kinda fits.
Bayonetta's says "Bayonetta 2", yet we got a ton of tracks from the first game.
Literally, any other area in Persona 5 would be preferable over Mementos. At the very least, I can hope for a lot of the music from the different areas to make their way to the game
The original DLC trailer didn't have a crossover title for Bayonetta, I don't think. You're probably thinking of the website listing.

I'm still amazed by the fact that ATLUS announced P5R without mentioning what it actually is, when it's releasing and on what platform.
I don't think we can say whether Persona music will be limited to 5 or not until we see what series he's classified under on the site. If he's listed as being from just Persona 5 on the site, then yeah he's just getting Persona 5 music. If he's listed as from the Persona series, then I'd say 3 and 4 would have a good chance at least getting a track each.
And hey, you could be like me and want Persona 2 music in! Even though that has less of a chance then more Final Fantasy stuff happening!
If the Dragon Quest info related to this Mementos rumor are actually from the same guy they do share a connection--the Hayabusa/Steve/Doomguy rumor listed Anlucia and the DQXI hero as alts for Erdrick before this one did, which is a really specific thing to get right. We'll yet see.

It's not a tease. It says right there in the description it's just a casual picture, they have no involvement in Smash.
IIRC he's not actually involved with Smash at all. It's like when Shinji Hashimoto replied "YES!" to Sora.
Remember those odd times where Smash introduced a stage but didn't include the music associated with it? Rumble Falls didn't come with the Rumble Falls theme. Port Town: Aero Dive didn't come with the F-Zero GX Port Town theme or any Port Town theme (until the SNES version in Ultimate). Mementos would be the one time where the theme of the stage would not be missed even the slightest bit.
I liked Mementos. It was a good way to give you dungeon-crawling stuff to do in between Palaces and I liked the integration of the website/requests into the gameplay. Plus driving around in the van and hearing the party chatter was always nice, I would get 80-90 hours in and still hear new dialogue.
Not sure how well it will translate to a stage though. If they could incorporate Lower Mementos elements into it, that would be ideal.

Might hint at how far along development/release. The code names I would guess were in case anything got out in an update that wasn't supposed to.
Tbf it's one of the places you have to visit the most in the game, I'm fine with it personally, but yeah the Casino would've been cool.
True, but he still might know something.
Can't say for sure but it's more likely to be in case since some regions have regulations for any gambling-related in video games but I'm not well versed in those department but I remember some people were talking about how strict they were with it.
