So it turns out the Fortnite default dance is Turk's dance from Scrubs.

I didn't even know fortnight had dancing til like 4 days ago. I don't think where specific dances came from is common knowledge. How many dances do you know where they originated? I know I'm out of touch but I don't think most people know the origins of multiple dance moves.
I actually know the actor (family friend that I played with when we were toddlers). He does own that dance. You'll be hearing from my lawyer.
No? Choreography is copyrightable as long as it is available in recorded format.
You can actually, provided it is original and filmed, such as on a TV show.
I still watch the show once a year lol, love it! (except that last season at the new hospital)

I couldn't play it. I played it 2 months ago, and was gunned down like a pig before I even figured out all the mechanics.
Nope, in fact in the smash bros dance thread people were lamenting how Turk's Dance is collectively known now as "the fortnite dance" and honestly that's how i found out myself.
Do yourself a favor and never look up where League of legends, World of Warcraft and Overwatch got their dances from.
