To be fair, Shadow was, like, 1 year old or something when he knew Maria.
Or something. Honestly, his age is super vague in general.
Man that Generations Shadow fight was so lame. I still have no clue wtf that purple ball was supposed to be.
Boy I do not envy Ruby for the shitstorm heading his way re: Super Sonic being paid dlc.
I can't even imagine what tangible benefit that would have when modern sonic's stages are basically automated invincible sprints to begin with.
It's free until mid-January, then it's around $3. It's besides the point, though.Ah. I'll get it. It's either gonna be free, cheap, or include something else.
I love Forces sooooooooo much.
Yep. Boost is basically Super Sonic already. In the classics and the SADX mod, he broke the game in a way that was fun to fuck around with and presented new gameplay scenarios. In Colors onward he's just kind of there - I don't even think I bothered. The problem is that Sonic is so powerful and versatile in most games nowadays that the appeal of an invincible Super Sonic form is basically useless because you're invincible 95% of the time anyway
Sure, now, after the ARK incident occurred and his 50-ish-year tenure under deep freeze (until Eggman woke him up in Adventure 2), but it's difficult to say just how old he is during his flashbacks to his time with Maria.
Yeah, I kinda get the feeling Sonic Team is gonna have to pare back Sonic's abilities at some point. The problem is that Sonic is so powerful and versatile in most games nowadays that the appeal of an invincible Super Sonic form is basically useless because you're invincible 95% of the time anyway
I honestly haven't paid any mind to Forces. I didn't even know Super Sonic wasn't in it.Boy I do not envy Ruby for the shitstorm heading his way re: Super Sonic being paid dlc.
I mean, Lost World kind of did and they seemed to be scared to follow up on it.Yeah, I kinda get the feeling Sonic Team is gonna have to pare back Sonic's abilities at some point.
It is actually paid? Are they seriously insane? This is already one of the most hated mainline Sonic games (partially undeserved IMO), it is almost like they are openly sabotaging Boost Sonic at this rate.Boy I do not envy Ruby for the shitstorm heading his way re: Super Sonic being paid dlc.

Huh... looking at the Freedom Planet 2 video
Anyone remember the leaked Sonic 06 script? Blaze was supposed to be self-concious about her lack of "endowment", and was gonna wear a cape due to it.
I actually am quite fond of the cape design. It would have been cool if she entered a level with it, and just grabbed it and threw it off screen, and then boosted and started a level. That would have been cool to see.
Preaching to the choir man it's been 20 years and I'm still yelling about how good SA1 was. Will watch the video in a bitHoly moly, going back to sonic adventure 2 after learning some japanese really changes the entire game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANp8hut8HSg
There's some really subtle things that were censored in english, like Gerald saying "i'm going insane...someone help me...please", and all the scenes that seemed awkward in english make perfect sense in japanese. The scene with Amy and Shadow clicks whereas in english it was kind of cringe. The story is like 20% better.
I really wish they stuck with this format and made an Adventure 3 or something..Sonic just isn't the same imo. People are playing Forces and here I am unable to move on from Adventure 2.
This guy, he gets it, whoever he is.This has been my opinion on Super Sonic since day one. The games are easy enough as it is. Now I turn into an even faster, easier version that gobbles up rings and replaces all the dope stage music with a repetitive one-size-fits-all track?
Nah
I actually think it looks lame as heck, then again I don't mark for super saiyan knock offs.Super Sonic was cool when it was just a Deus Ex Machina form for final boss fights.
In actual 3D stages, it's totally braindead since you're just holding the boost button and slaughtering everything.
Not to mention Generations Super Sonic, which literally has him flying over parts of the stages and doesn't interact with it. What in the shit was that about?
"Here's a mechanic that makes it so you don't actually play the game guise!"
It's cool cause he's gold and shiny I guess?
How long does it take you to beat Marble Garden?Colors is about the only time I enjoyed 3D Super Sonic, and even then, that was mostly because getting S Ranks actually became something of a challenge with him.
In 2D, I only really like it for when I happen to be replaying boring shit like Marble Garden (or every level in 3 post Hydrocity, really) and just want to blow through the level ASAP.
It's one of the main reasons why I go after the emeralds as soon as possible in Sonic 2. Although the sheer length of each act makes keeping Super a chore...Man, could you imagine Metropolis Zone with SS?? I'd be laughing as my enemies fail to harm me.
Chaos Emeralds are a must for gleaming legitimate enjoyment from Sonic 2 after Oil Ocean, imoIt's one of the main reasons why I go after the emeralds as soon as possible in Sonic 2. Although the sheer length of each act makes keeping Super a chore...
I haven't really timed it, but it certainly seems to go by quicker as Super Sonic in between the scripted parts of the level where you kind of have to go at the game's pace.
Edit - well SA2 seems about as enjoyable as I remember which is not very for me lol
then they decided that shadow loves burnout 3 and terminatorThe lyrics of this song is actually Shadow's deepest character development in the entire franchise once you figure out what it's actually saying. Whoever the sound director was for this game was on point, straight up.
Well, there's actually a developer-related reason for that.
