I have a feeling we'll see some articles soon that explore why this happened and what's been going on at Sony recently.
Do you think it's anything with Next gen plans? As in different point of views?

No clue where it's (originally) from, but it is indeed a classicThis is such an amazing picture, classic. What was the source? Released by Sony ahead of the PS2 launch?
Over what?Rumor is that the power struggle in between American and European branches of SIE.

He shouldn't be anywhere near Sony. Games in general. Probably any business related ventures.
naw man it's beam strugglesInternal power struggle over what? Who gets to sit on the money couch?
I mean shit, how do these companies always have so many problems when they are in the middle of printing actual fucking money.
That was Jim Ryan
Is this the end for the PlayStation brand? Should I go ahead and switch to Xbox?
All the signs are there. Jump ship now. Phil is waiting with open arms.Is this the end for the PlayStation brand? Should I go ahead and switch to Xbox?
No, that would be Jim Ryan, head of the European division in wich people in here and "insiders" on twitter are suggesting that Shawn has a problem with.

I don't think Reggie left because of the generational cycle, given that we're barely halfway through Switch's gen. I think he was just ready to retire considering he was president for 13 years, he's almost in his 60s by now and based on his current endeavors it seems like he just wants to spend his remaining current active years working on mentoring. To be fair, Shawn is the same age, but it very much looks like he was forced out in comparison. If I had to guess, it could be because of the end of the generation. I mean, look, Reggie also left at a similar time at Nintendo, even though their generation cycles are little off from Microsoft and Sony.
That's Jim Ryan
He improved a lot. I remember his first presentation and he was a total "suit", really wooden and far too executive, like the MS Don Mattrick Xbox era. But he softened a lot since then and became a really likeable chap. He'll be missed for sure.
Thanks guys. Switching right now.All the signs are there. Jump ship now. Phil is waiting with open arms.
i cant name a single one after Shu. im sure people wok there but I have no idea who the fuck they areI really liked him actually. Aside from Shu, there's no one really personable left at Sony I feel.

its a faceless company
He's going to take over now I'm guessing? I never really liked him. Such a sudden and abrupt send off for Shawn. Best of luck to that dude.
Sony actually has a very scary transition coming up because they took a *lot* of money out of the gaming division as overhead to support Sony's struggling and non-performing consumer electronics legacy assets and other random things Japanese big business spends $$$ on.
Sony did absolutely mint money for this generation with their install base but how they operate next gen where the Xbox management team *doesn't* do its best impression of a coked up lemming is a big question mark.
Whether they can keep tithing to the rest of the corporation to basically underwrite the annual Sony shareholder meeting if the install base is 50/50 or 60/40 either way will be a huge question for their business.
He's already taken over. He replaced Kodera a while ago as head of SIE.He's going to take over now I'm guessing? I never really liked him. Such a sudden and abrupt send off for Shawn. Best of luck to that dude.

Hmm. Internal conflicts over the direction of the brand?I have a feeling we'll see some articles soon that explore why this happened and what's been going on at Sony recently.
