Spider-Man reviews set to arrive on September 4th [Update: poll added]

75 I say, we have had enough gritty superhero games with the Batman trilogy and this is more of the same.
Since some sort of number predictions are going on I think 88 - 90 give or take. Insomniac are a super talented team (I loved SSO and R&CPS4) and have been handed a popular franchise that allowed them to put their own spin on it. As soon as I get money (broke life ain't great :/) will pick this up! Spiderman is by far my favourite comic book hero and I'm excited to see what they've done. Also, I like that there appears to be some variety in gameplay with Peter, MJ and Spiderman. What suit revealed so far is everyone most excited to use?
I want to predict an 86 Metacritic out of feel and studio pedigree, but I want this game to be a masterpiece so badly I'm gonna say 92.
87-92 easy. Sunset Overdrive got a 81 MC which is like the bare minimum a game like this would get, but likely much much higher. Can't wait till the scores blow people away. Impressions and previews from hours in sound extraordinary.

It did last gen when it was literally the first one doing what it was doing.
I think it'll be an 87. Review outlets will enjoy the game tremendously but call it derivative of Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and the Arkham series.
87 is the ballpark for me. Arkham Knight somehow got that and I'm pretty confident that we are getting a better game than that.
So because Spider-Man is coming out later, it gets reduced to an 80s score even though just about everything looks better than arkham. Graphics, gameplay, story, the city etc
I also think this gen is way harder to get past 90 MC so there is that too.
Whilst true, swinging around in Spider-Man already looks far more fun and thrilling than zipping around in Arkham. Plus I prefer the more colourful, vibrant, jovial premise and aesthetic in Spider-Man.

The only other game that has a chance of hitting 95+ this year is red dead 2, Spider-Man will be 85-90 range
