Considering the rumors around the 2nd fighter's pack, the whole "Dragon Quest character playable in Smash" announcement is possible. Mind you though I think we are still a ways out from the actual announcement of that still. We still need the Plant and Joker in the game.

Piranha Plant doesn't have a date & Joker doesn't even have gameplay footage. What makes people think they're going to announce another character in a little over a week on some random Japanese stream

They will announce additional DLCs coming out and then have a livestream in 6 months announcing their cancellation with Hori leaving the company and joining Tabata.

You heard it here first!

They're adding World of Light to DQXI and five Smash characters for the game over the course of a year. I'm thinking Zelda, Roy, King K. Rool, Snake, and DQXI-exclusive Waluigi.
