Man, we've gotta' stop pretending that SF4 launched with all those characters when it spent a year in arcades with only 17 on its roster. The console version of SF4 was basically its "2nd Impact," if you will.
This kind of revisionist history has gotten more than a few people out there riled up about "small roster sizes." Nonetheless, this is a cool image.
SF4 was basically the same thing as tekken 7 when it came to arcade release. Tekken 7 did take it a step further with 2 years in arcade instead of just 1.
Im glad we're past that lol
Fair point. Pretty misleading then.Yeah, 6 is the one with the biggest starting roster, beating 4 by 1 character. 4 launched in arcades with 16 playable character + Akuma as a hidden character.
Been saying this for the longest.

I'd give it to 6. Less newcomers but no chaff whatsoever. Necro and Oro drag the SF3 side down imo
Twelve wasn't until 3S, right? Just counting the NG cast, Yang is kinda cheating as he was just a palette swap in that version but I counted him anyway lol

There was a media event not to long ago featuring both RE4R and SF6. We're basically waiting for the embargo to be lifted and hopefully its this week.

I was thinking about that when I made the list but Kimberly is just so head and shoulders above previous attempts I had to give it to 6SFIII still got it.
It's Black History Month so I gotta go with the game that gave us 3 black characters out of 8.5 instead of 1 black character out of 7.
Excuse me, but the hairstyles they got in the character creator should give bonus points. :TSFIII still got it.

I do drool at the thought of what Sean, Dudley, and Elena would look like in 6 tho
Sean in 6 would make me forgive whatever the hell was happening in SFV's story mode.I do drool at the thought of what Sean, Dudley, and Elena would look like in 6 tho
I can't wait for that DLC trailer one day. SF6 Sean will shut up the hatersSean in 6 would make me forgive whatever the hell was happening in SFV's story mode.
Not to mention that Nakayama made a conscious decision to make the Black avatars the default.

Im very, VERY curious to see what comments are in general concerning that decision when the game comes out.Not to mention that Nakayama made a conscious decision to make the Black avatars the default.
"STREET FIGHTER HAS GONE WOKE"Im very, VERY curious to see what comments are in general concerning that decision when the game comes out.
This reminds me a guy on twitter recently did a spreadsheet for all the street fighter games, laying out the base rosters of the games and those added as updated versions/dlc

People are already saying this with the Cammy redesign and the Battle Hub host design.

Looks like they know and plan on updating that specific point in the next revision along with other things pointed out.

... so who from here was the one that pointed it out? <.<
I couldn't fuck with a 3d interpretation of it like it would be.

Fair but I still gonn give it to 6 cause the black character in here is on of the more better designed black characters in the series but yeah I hope at least one or two more new black characters in 6's lifetimeSFIII still got it.

Damn if being woke means getting to see hips like that and Kimberly's then count me deep in the paint

Tekken 8 is going to run into This problem coming off Tekken 7. Given how long it took for the non-arcade release

In Mortal Kombat it's always the other way around so I think it's a silly reason, especially since we have virtually very little loading on next gen and they have the whole introduction cinematics.Right, that way you can get into the match faster since the stage would've already been loaded.
You're missing the grid haha
It also confirms that Sethe having a feminine form in general was done to prototype. The new Japanese Street Fighter book confirms that Seth's Brutal Impact was an early Marisa tease (SF6 development was well underway by the time Seth released).
Nobody ever really knew what that attack was referencing, and the Blodia Punch comparisons never sat well with me. This makes a lot more sense.
They're to preemptively punish everyone for skipping the intro cinematic :vIn Mortal Kombat it's always the other way around so I think it's a silly reason, especially since we have virtually very little loading on next gen and they have the whole introduction cinematics.
But *are* they? <.<
Thank you!!!
On purpose, it's not really a stage to me and an eye sore so left it out ;)
