Street Fighter Duel Mobile Game Beings Pre-registration in China

Literally didn't hear about this until just now so consider this an announcement thread of sorts. If I missed it then my bad. Source is; https://mmoculture.com.

Tencent Games recently announced the start of pre-registration phase in China for its upcoming mobile game, Street Fighter Duel. Licensed from Japanese IP owner Capcom, there will be a focus on strategic attack and defense in the game. While not much details are available, we can tell from the current promotional images that Street Fighter Duel will require players to form teams of 3 from a classic lineup of fighters for combat. It also seems that the main role of players is to cast skills at the right time. Stay tuned for more!

Shame it's Tencent but this looks pretty cool. I've been wanting Capcom to make a game like this with all the other mobile games popping up like KOF Allstars and the Tekken one. Hopefully they add some SF3 characters by the time it comes over here. Lock if old.

Was just playing MAX on Vita the other day! Fun addition but I don't think anyone would count a ported character in a portable-only version of the game as in integral character to the series.

Cammy and Chun looks like Bengus, but that Ken is obviously done by a different artist. Usually for consistency Street Fighter uses the same artist for character profiles in each individual title. This one might be all over the place. Certainly gives it a unique vibe though.

I'm still surprise that SF still hasn't have a hit gacha game, KoF has a couple of games already under their belt, and even Blazblue has a game that has thrived for more than two years.

The main key visual in the first video is basically DMCV key visual (but I guess it's a typical ensemble walk too).

Is this game out in the west or no? Any comments on it? It reminds me of Namco x Capcom but is it like that?
